What if they lose the game and immediately after they are very sad, but then 10 years from now they think back fondly on the game and maybe lessons they learned about teamwork and how they stuck together and how that has translated into their life now when they experience defeat or challenges!??!  This seams realistic and would mean that those 30 minutes DID NOT determine how they would feel about that particular moment for the rest of their life.  In fact it's quite possible and perhaps much more likely that things that happen to them after the game may significantly affect how they view those moments and even that could contantly evolve as they gain new life experiences that put past experiences into a new perspective.

So no, I don't think it makes any sense and I think Tebow is overdramatic and cliche saying things just to say things and create the facade of a leader because he is desperate to create an identity and therefore chooses certain actions and words that align with that identity because he watched a lot of sports movies growing up and decided that every moment must impact the rest of your life even though in reality life consists of many many small less dramatic moments that shape who you are over a long time.

No I think THEY are being immature and putting too much emphasis on how one game will affect the rest of your life.  Lets look at the two options:

1)  They could yell  "We worked hard for this! We got this! We didn't bust our butts all year to lose this game! Lets show them what kind of team we are and kick there ass! Woo!!"

OR

2) "Ok, men. This the battle of our lives!!! 30 minutes, for the rest. of. our. lives!  Let's shape our legacy right now! Nothing else matter right now! We will sacrifice oursleves for the team! Clear eyes blah blah blah! This is it! You control the outcome of your life!! . . . etc!!!"

The first one makes sense, is motivating, gets the point across, and doesn't lie. The second is overdramatic, full of cliche, lacks true perspective, and is a lie because it likely won't drastically affect the rest of their lives.  It could, sure, but not with any certainty. You also only control certain things and the outcome isn't always in your control. You do the best you can and hope that when you ask "Who's got it better than us?" that the answer is Nooooobody because you worked hard and were lucky enough to have a gream outcome.

I'm probably under analyzing this.  I should make some charts and graphs!

I would rather get hit by a car then listen to Tebow try to motivate anyone to do anything one more time.  Maybe if I was having a difficult bowel movement  you know with my back legs shaking and all bent over like I have spina bifida then he could motivate me.  I'd try really hard to pinch it off just so I could climb high into the trees and get away from him.

For anyone whos ever played football or any other sport knows that sometimes youre just not going to be able to contiue playing. Not everyone can make a career out of being an athlete not everyone will make it to the big leauges. So to me what the 30 minutes means is that at the end of those 30 minutes it could be your last in whatever sport youre playing. Look at like SR day for HS/College not all of those kids will ever get to play that sport ever again. I played football in HS im 5'6 we had a saying "Last Play" play every play like its your last. Its the same concept IMO because you never know when youre last one is so go out and give it 100%.
