If it was anybody but MSU(or OSU/ND), I'd feel bad for them.

It's hard to believe how hard and fast they've fallen. Dantonio lucky he pulled that 10 win season out of his butt in 2017, otherwise, he'd be below .500 the last four years. He really should leave before his record against us falls below .500. Heck, he should have left after beating us in 2017.

MSU 2020 is going to struggle to get to a bowl game. Their roster is complete trash, and their coaching may be worse. After next season they may actually put the pressure on Dantonio to retire. No way he lasts long enough to drop below .500 against uofm. But sending him out on a 4 game losing streak is very realistic.

I was thinking the exact same thing. If you look at the players they had in say 2014, it's shocking.  They should have a statue of Jim Tressel in EL, after funneling all those plan B guys to his buddy.

This reason alone should make people very grateful of the job Harbs has done, because he stopped that momentum by shutting out the state.   And combined with those Ohio players going to K and Cinci, MSU is hosed.

I digress. The upcoming classes in the state are key to our program to beat OSU. We must get guys like Spindler....

Is he leaving to be a 5-7 round pick ?? Wow. MSU really is in the downturn. I know it sucks that we are still behind OSU, but let’s celebrate that we have blown past MSU. Which 5 years ago, when Harbaugh got here, many wouldn’t have taken for granted. MSU fans still as of 3 years ago thought they were in better position for future success than uofm. So yes, we are not where we need to be. But we have still had a lot of fun moments lately.

Granted, the combine can certainly change draft stock; however, based on reports I've read and analyses I've heard, White's expected to be picked higher than DPJ.

Other than that, yes, it's hard to believe just how far they've fallen. I'll be curious to see who they bring in as their next coach.

I’d be shocked if they won 6 games next season. I think 7 wins would be a masterful job considering what they have coming up. it’s safe to say sparty is falling into the gutter. Now if only we could get Ohio state to do the same ?

MSU probably starts the year 1-6 in the B1G. They most likely win week 1 vs Northwestern. Then after their non-conference schedule which I could see them going 2-1 or 1-2 in they play: @Iowa, Michigan, OSU, @IU, Minnesota, and @Penn St.

What's funny is that at one point they could've had him, Trishton Jackson and KJ Hamler on the field at the same time.  If MSU was smart, they'd chuck Dantonio before the 14th and promote one of their assistants.  If they're going to be terrible, at least they can save a few bucks.

i kind of feel bad for jackson (i used to work a former teacher that tought at WB when jackson was there)... that kid busted his ass to get his grades up in summer school just to get into MSU (one of the various reasons why Michigan stayed away from him) and to my understanding MSU didn't offer him any help when his grades started to slip and basically let him flunk out of school... at least he was able to get this crap together and have an awesome year at Syracuse...
