Rich Rodriguez was born to Chi Chi Rodriguez, the renowned Spanish matador of the late 1960s and his wife Chiquita, a semi-professional flamenco dancer in the Spanish town of Sevilla.<ref>{{cite web|url=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LTB4wgDMDJc |title=Coach Rich Rodriguez, Nacho Dip, and Imitations|date= |accessdate=2010-09-21}}</ref> Forced to immigrate to the United States at the age of 4 due to the backlash and harsh criticism from his father's infamous matador shaving incident, he soon took to the hills of rural West Virginia. Following in the footsteps of his father's bull fighting prowess and mother's swift feet, Rich soon developed the spread option offense to begin his quest of leading the Michigan Wolverines to Big Ten prominence.

Well clearly that's BS.... Chi Chi Rodriguez is a former pro golfer from Puerto Rico
(Not to be confused with the fictional character played by John Leguizamo in To Wong Foo.

Pry the funniest thing I have read in awhile. Props to the creative fellow who wrote it, even tho its obviously not real. haha so funny.

Said his dad was a matador named Chi Chi or something and his mom was named Chiquita. Some shaving incident forced them to move to West Virginia hills. Didn't really read it through because it was retarded. By the way, the user that made is was Eichesco and someone who undid an edit to the section's IP is 141.218.229.88
By the way, nice job on adding the REAL family info. Didn't think of that.

someone who undid an edit to the section's IP is 141.218.229.88
That's someone in the umich.edu domain!

I actually meant to type wmich; I don't know how that happened. Almost feels like a phonetic or anticipatory speech error translated to the keyboard.

Leave it to a Wastern student... Classic. haha

Double post :-(. I dunno how to delete them.
November 17th, 2010 at 9:28 PM ^
I assume someone already changed it.
EDIT: Just saw the RickH did... well done.
November 17th, 2010 at 9:26 PM ^
I dunno, I'd rather have that on there than failed business ventures and speculative info on lack of family values quoted by Rosenberg.
November 17th, 2010 at 9:28 PM ^
Someone needs to change that.
You could have changed it yourself. It's Wikipedia.
November 17th, 2010 at 11:25 PM ^
I have actually heard from colleagues who have ventured into Wikipedia editing that if someone does not edit on a regular basis, Wikipedia will remove changes by that editor.
But, your common sense does deserve a posbang.

Yeah sometimes you can sneak an edit by on a rarely read post if you don't edit a lot, but I think they even lock some pages for people who don't have accounts and edit regularly . . . otherwise I'd be logging on frequently to change Sidney Crosby's name to Cindy Crysby.

...so you thought an experienced wikipedia editor would come along and revert it back to the Chi Chi Rodriguez story just because you're new to the game? When you make an edit, it asks you for the reason. In this case, the reason would have been "Asinine story with no citation... so dumb that I made my first wiki edit just to remove it." You can feel free to come onto the wikipedia dance floor.

Well, Chi Chi Rodriguez was pretty awesome...
