CMU TE (former Pro-style QB) enters the transfer portal
If Michigan is a little light on TEs, he could be a great pickup! (unless Gattis is phasing out the TE)

We have 4 on the roster and they would take 2 this cycle if they get Fidone. I don't tink they are phasing out the position.
AK do your thing!
Mt. Pleasant-------------> AA Pipeline
Definitely not phasing out, TE has been a key part of Gattis' offense, just as more of an H-back type instead of a traditional in-line type.
This has MSU written all over it.
Not sure young Tony has done anything to deserve such a horrible insult. Imagine having to go through life with "Sparty written all over you". I cringe at the thought...
He’s from Lansing.
So is Brandon Johns - but he was smart enough to get out of town and avoid the stench coming from the East side...
We're doing pretty well at TE right now. Eubanks, Schoonmaker, All, Hibner and then Hansen coming in
Light on tight ends? Not like we’re going into the season with four scholarship tight ends. Tried to take a second tight end in last years class, dealt with Muhammad transferring and are looking to take two TE’s this class or anything...
This isn't the most credible-looking resource, but it contains the basic information:
He backed up Shane Morris before getting his chance at QB (and not doing very well). Jumbo athletes have options, though, and he did well last year after switching positions. Could he be the Mike Danna of TEs? :)
I agree with the poster who guessed MSU as the destination.
His HS stats are insane. I highly recommend watching his film from back then. It's hilarious (6'6" 230# pound guy steamrolling a bunch of small kids on long runs).
Despite the fact he went to high school in Lansing - I am not sure that picking a college team that is featuring Rocky Lombardi or Theo Day as their starting quarterback is a smart way to highlight your skills for a potential longshot run at the NFL.
I will go further - bad idea.
I would be stunned if he even sniffed Michugan. His dad Rick owns a company that sells nuts.bolts and other types of fastening devices. He supplys a factory in Quincy that a friend of mines nephew is shop manager. A group of us go to the U.P every winter sno-shoe hare hunting with our beagles. My beagles name by the way is Bo Schembechler, Bo for short, My buddys nephew goes with us. He has a picture of us all with our hounds after a day of hunting in his office. Rick commented on the picture, and invited us to his cabin in the U.P., We took him up on the offer and Tony would accmpany his dad on those weekends. Its been about 5 yrs since I have been up there, but my first trip up Tony was a freshman in high school. He was a huge MSU fan wearing a hoodie with those good awfull colors as I sported the Maize and Blue. I was giving him a hard time. It was the Weekend of Big ten football Championship and MSU was playing Wiscy. I was desperately cheering for a Wiscy win to rub it in,unfortunateiy Wiscy got trounced.. The Poljans went to the same church as Tom Izzo and Tony was dateing his daughter. Tony dream was to be starting qb at MSU.

Unless I'm mistaken, MSU and Wisconsin's only title game meeting was for the inaugural B1G football title back in 2011. That was the game where MSU was about to get the ball back inside the 10-yard line, down three, but was called for roughing the punter and Wisconsin ran out the clock to win after the automatic first down.
Are you thinking of the 59-0 beatdown Wisconsin got at the hands of OSU in 2014?
Yes - this is what Jimmy Buffett would refer to as a "Semi-True Story" - "made up a few things, and there's some I forgot". There was no BIG title game where MSU trounced Wisconsin...
Must have have been OSU vs MSU in 2013. I must be haveing ptsd from rooting for OSU that game.
