Clemson-FSU is officially the ABC night game 10/15

Considering this, the near-universal prognostication (Klatt slip-up/usher confirmation, etc) that the Maize Out will be a Fox Big Noon Kickoff seems about as close to confirmation as can be had at this point.

This will be Clemson's 5th primetime night game of 6 to open the season.

Actually, it doesn't seem like Urban is very high on loyalty. He was always known, at least what I read (mostly this site) as a selfish man who would leave every team worse off than when he came (OSU is the outlier here, so it's possible...). I'll bet he hates U of M, but why do we think that he is so loyal to OSU? I'll bet he's just happy to be paid millions of dollars a year and be seen and heard by everyone on TV.

TL;DR Urban probably doesn't hate Michigan as much as he loves himself and being on TV ($$$). Corollary, Urban doesn't even care that much about OSU.

I hate this.  Clemson gets the best viewing slot, and Michigan is relegated to a noon kick for the 27th time in a row.  A night game against a shitty MSU isn't going to draw viewers, but a top 15 night game against PSU would beat the ever-loving shit out anything else ratings wise.

But, I guess, that's why Fox wants it.  And Fox thinks noon is better than prime time.  Fox is wrong.

Grain of salt situation - there is nothing to compare the numbers to!  We have no idea what viewership would have been for this matchup last year, at night vs noon.  But I'll bet that more people around the country would watch a 7:30 kick between top 10-15 teams vs a noon kick if the teams were the same.

You would think a blue and maize alternating stripe would be pretty easy to pull off and probably look better during the day than a maize out but this fanbase struggles to do basically anything that makes an impressive atmosphere outside of night games

I cannot describe my "disappointment" enough.   The night game would have been ideal against Penn State.

For those who may not have children at Michigan today, or be familiar with the academic calendar - the PSU game is actually the beginning of the Fall "mini-break" - which means - no classes for students on the Monday and Tuesday after the PSU game.   This was ideal for a rowdy, maize wearing fan base and student section.

Clemson - eSECpn - with, of course - an interest in the ACC - hmmm, quite predictable, unfortunately.

Gonna look like pretty much any other Saturday game but with the student section being on time…..maybe. I’m not on the road for work that week and was seriously looking forward to an all day BBQ with the fire pit and beers flowing. What a bullshit call FOX!!! Now we get to see a set of ears attached to a penis ride in on a bus and everyone bust their ass on that slide for like the 10th time.
