Chris Perry needs a team
The Bengals released Chris Perry today: http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2009/football/nfl/draft-2009/04/27/per…
I hope the Lions don't sign him, but I wouldn't mind watching him in the Honolulu blue and silver. He would be a nice power back and change of pace for Kevin Smith, and is certainly better than Maurice Morris. I wish him well wherever he goes, and hopefully he doesn't have to spend another minute in that terrible state.
Chris Perry is better than Maurice Morris? What gives you that idea?
Is it Perry's career average of 3.4 yards per carry, compared to Morris's 4.3?
Is it Perry's 4 career TDs, compared to Morris's 10?
Is it Perry's career average of 5.7 yards per catch, compared to Morris's 7.5?
Is it Perry's 421 career return yards, compared to Morris's 2,843?
I bet it's none of those. I bet it's just the fact that he played for Michigan that makes you think he's better.
Decaffeination is the act of removing caffeine from coffee beans, mate, cocoa, tea leaves and other caffeine-containing materials.
Big Ten players are dropping like flies there. From the same article, Bengals cut former OSU safety Mike Doss, and former Minnesota RB Gary Russell was waived today too.
That's a bummer. I LOVED watching Chris Perry when I was in college. I feel like you're always kinda partial to the guys who played while you were in college. I wish him luck.
I will always love him for that performance against MSU, when he carried the ball 51 times for 219 yards.

that was classic, gritty football. Esp. because the MSU defense was feeling pretty cocky before that game. Shut them up pretty good.
I miss the "Chris Perry carry" call from the PA announcer.
