Calling all DC's
With Rhoads and Chavis scooped up and out of the picture, who else are we looking at besides Casteel and Hopson? Any ideas out there? I know there's been a little talk about penn states LB coach. I think picking up one of the Steelers position coaches might be a solid move. Thoughts?

D-Coordinator for Florida from '99-'01. He's young, pretty charismatic. Would be good with recruits. Florida's defense went from ranked #42 in 2000 to #9 in 2001.
Wouldn't be surprised if he joined his brother Brady at San Diego State though.

Looks like Hoke could be a good fit. DB coach with tons of success at the NFL level. UM obviously needs as much help in the secondary as they can get. That has been a weakness for some time. There's a lot of young talent in the secondary that could have a huge upside. I'd be excited if Hoke got the job.

sounds pretty great to me. seems recruits love heading to schools with coaches that have NFL experience. I'll ride that boat.

I'm not sure he and Brady are that close, Brady suspended his son this season.

He just got canned. He sounds like a viable option, though I'm not sure he's been taking steps up. Is going from DC at Florida to being an NFL position coach a promotion? I'd tend to think not. And I can't recall Texas having a particularly good defense or secondary.
