Caleb and Zavier Playing Together: All the Wolverines on Summer League Rosters

Submitted by BursleyHall82 on July 2nd, 2022 at 2:38 PM

The NBA Summer League starts on July 5, and it always makes for great viewing during a slow sports week. I believe the rosters will continue to evolve through the weekend, but the latest ones can be found here.

Here's a look at all the Michigan players signed up so far. Caleb Houstan and Zavier Simpson are teammates:

Detroit

Isaiah Livers

Indiana

Eli Brooks

Clippers

Moussa Diabate

Orlando

Caleb Houstan

Zavier Simpson

San Antonio

Derrick Walton Jr.

I feel bad for Walton. He’s the definition of a player who is too good for the G League but isn’t good enough to get minutes in the NBA and stick with a team

This list of Michigan players doing well makes me smile.

Yeah, I know the summer league doesn't mean playing in the NBA. But still, being paid to play basketball is pretty great.

Nice update on these players, OP. Will be paying close attention to those teams now.

That said I’m going to have neg you for not including your HAWT TAKE on NIL.

Don't forget about Chaundee Brown Jr. For the Hawks.  I know he was only on the team for one year but I consider him a Michigan man.   Also Devante Jones is on the Thunder.

Dude led the ACC in scoring last and is second on the Cuse career 3point list. I scoffed at the signing initially, then wondered how he'll do with Cade and Ivey driving and creating open looks for him. Once Buddy is done picking up the towels, he might have a decent showing if he can knock down open threes.

Wondering if these rosters are 100% accurate? The Pistons have Bey, Stewart and Lee on the team.  Lee tore up the G-league and the other two are starters in the NBA along with Cade.   To me I wouldn't play them but maybe they want to see how they play with Jaden and Duren.    Also one note can't believe Duren is still only 18 years old if I am not mistaken heard he won't turn 19 until after the season starts.
