Sever limp doesn't sound good at all.
Maybe he's walking with a limp cuz his nuts are heavy?

I did not see it...but I hope it is not Achilles.
He wouldn't be able to walk.

He barely could walk.
Gloom and doom aside, Avila is back and suddenly Sanchez is having a great night. He's been pitching better, but I wonder if Avila can calm this staff down.
but....
I don't think so. He clearly reached for his calf.
Hope it's just cramps for Miggy. Get Healthy.
He just got 900 RBI as a Tiger today too.
Iggy just got an RBI
hopefully it's just a cramp
too much creatine and not enough fluids... would be great
hmmmm......some drama brewing at the ballpark... shhhh
We have a ways to go yet.
First we've got to deal with the Blue Jays playing Little League defense here.
Left calf strain. Will have MRI.
rub some dirt on it
Sounds better than it looked.
rr =/= Cabrera
I thought it was the Jays' wild-armed LF.
Sanchez is dirty today
...thru 7 innings.
hmmmmmm
Things and stuff happening.
Must see TV. I don't think it's a coincidence that Avila is back and he's pitching so well.

+1 for the awesome inclusion of data, which shows he is one of the best game callers.
Fans are down on him for his hitting shortfalls, as I am too, but look at the total package.
There is a reason why he's on the roster. Pitchers are very comfortable with him that the GM and manager are willing to overlook his lack of hitting because it's more important for a catcher to have a great rapport with the pitchers

JD is raking. I hope he gets some all star love.
a spot on the AL All-Star roster. He's got huge offensive numbers, despite spending the first month of the season looking like Castellanos v2.0.
eh....
Now it's 8-1. Thanks a lot for nothing.

If its a grade 3 calf strain, the TIgers just became sellers at the trade deadline.
Mlb threads dominating mgoblog.. I haz a sad.
Poor guy...
But yeah, I'm throwin in the towel.
Expected to miss 6 weeks. Ah is it football season yet?
Oye.
Could be worse though - I thought he might be done for the year. And really, as great as he is the fate of this team hangs on our pitching getting it together. With the Martinezes going we should be ok offensively. I wonder if they'll try mcann at first?
all of it
is Ausmus, after seeing his comment earlier this morning about the two pitchers called up from the minor leagues. Can't quote it directly right now, but essentially he said he knew nothing about either pitcher.
It seemed very reminiscent of the Brady Hoke comment, "aware but not fully aware".
but i am sure DD can find a lefty 1B playing backup duty on a team and give up next to nothing. i think you have to play out the month of july before you start selling. hell, they are only 1 1/2 games out of the wild card right now.
And by the time Miggy gets back, they could very well be 10 games under .500. You don't take the best hitter in the American League out of the lineup for a month and a half, when you have a .500 team to start with, and expect everything to be hunky-dory.
The Titanic just hit the iceberg.
I think they could rally around this. This team has been underperforming all year. And if you put any stock in WAR, Cabrera missing 30 games should only cost us a game or 2.
The last time he missed serious time I seem to recall the team couldn't lose with him out.
Miggy makes everyone in the lineup around him better. With him game, everyone else will suffer.
I can't see the Tigers surviving this. They are done.
FIRE LEYLAND!!!
