Bye Bye Barry on Amazon Prime

I'm going to attempt to pin this link right. Apologies if not, and if this was already brought up and I just missed it.
With college football slowing down for a few weeks I figured this would be as good of a time as any to put it out there for anyone who didn't know about this.
The Sunday after Thanksgiving my wife stumbled across this documentary while browsing shows and told me about it. It was very well done, and I might or might not have teared up a time or two. Not to spoil it but many famous Detroit celebs, former Lions, and Barry himself share their thoughts about his career and the way he retired. Fair warning, Jemele Hill drops a few lines as well but dont let that ruin it.
For anyone who was fortunate enough to watch Barry play, this should take you back to your youth. I'm just glad Barry is healthy today. No long term head injuries and he's not walking around with bad legs.

Keith Jackson will be having a watch party on New Years Eve in Pasadena. All are welcome.

Sidenote: What if the Michigan prime documentary was THIS season instead of 2017?

I still haven't watched that. Maybe after we win a NC.

I couldn’t get through it. Too many bad memories.

Yeah it's sad that the one playoff win vs. DAL over 30 years ago has been the peak of everyone's Lions fandom.

I can't get myself to watch it, because it will make me excited and depressed at the same time. The term "generational talent" gets used all the time. He was much more than that. How do you describe a "talent" that will never be seen again? It doesn't matter how many generations pass.

I watched it, and I'd say your anticipated reaction is about right. I literally got stomach flutters watching his runs -- it took me back to my high school days, when I had the exact same reaction live -- and my high school son said something to the effect of, "now I know what you're always talking about, he was awesome." But I also got mad at the Lions again and remembered why I stopped watching them in protest after Barry retired. (Things seem better now, and I'm open to becoming a fan again, but I've been mad at them for 30 years.)

Barry was absolutely amazing. Nobody in the history of the game could ever change directions in full speed like him. I feel very fortunate to have been able to watch his entire career. Saying he was a generational talent is an understatement.

It's been posted a couple times but it's Barry. It warrants a reminder now and then.

Ha, Jamele Hill -- I forgot about that POS. Thankfully haven't seen her in a long time.

Watched this and came away feeling better about how everything went down. I love Barry, but had a long-held chip on my shoulder about how he chose to leave the team. After watching the doc, it makes better sense, and took away most of that hurt. I do wonder if this was done as part of the organizations effort at repairing the relationship and helping him prosper a bit more than he otherwise may have been. Something like this maybe for Calvin in the future as well? That would be a great watch as well. Love both their highlight reels!

Really enjoyed it! Brought me back and reinforced who the best RB of all time was. Also enjoyed him explaining to his kids what a fax was.

That was hilarious.
