Brick almost done!!!!

Looks like the bricks on the new stadium structures are almost done! They did it fairly fast. Memorial weekend slowed them down, but last week at this time there was a lot more 'green'. Not sure how the other side is doing. I'd think the brick will be done in the next week or 2. http://www.umaec.umich.edu/projects/Stadium/webcam7.html

has a lot of work to go still. The towers are 95% complete on the exterior, but the mid section is mostly girders (is that the right term for I-beams?). I assume they can't do that until they tear out the press box after this coming season. The east side looks great, I hadn't checked up on it in a long time. edit: I'll see if I can get a few pictures when I drive by for work tomorrow.

I snuck in there w/ some buddies this weekend, there is still a lot of masonry left to go. That being said, it is coming along at a nice clip, and by football season it should be looking pretty well put together. The most shocking thing is how small the old press box looks compared to the new structures going up. That thing used to seem huge, but now it looks rinky-dink. Also the new practice facility is massive, and really nice looking as well. Its like Yost, but about 1.5x as long and much taller, and w/ modern glass all over the place.

Does anyone know where the new stadium bricks are from/made? I want to be prepared for the inevitable ESPN reports if the bricks are from a brick factory in Spartan/Buckeye/Irish territory . . .

There is no Barwis blood in the mix. That is what they will use (highly diluted of course) to dissolve all of the stains and excess mortar, in place of the standard weak muriatic acid.

Not sure. I heard that the windows were made in some factory(don't recall where), but they were blessed with 'hail to the victors' before reaching destination ann arbor.
