Braden didn't dress tonight.
I went to the Rockford game tonight hoping to get a good look at Ben Braden, but he was in street clothes. He did not appear to have any specific injury as he was active on the sidelines before and during the game and did not appear to be wearing any medical devices. I hope it is not a concussion or a disciplinary issue.
On a side note...I am refusing to clap to the Rockford fight song as it is the same tune as the MSU fight song. I just can't bring myself to do it.

I graduated from Rockford and won't sing it either. I coached hockey at Rockford and worked with Ben at camps. I highly doubt it's anything disciplinary. He is a great kid.

I went to Forest Hills Northern. We had the same fight song as Ohio State.
I didn't realize this until the UM-OSU game my frosh year when I found myself instinctually singing along when OSU scored. I only made that mistake once.

Not 100% positive but I heard from someone in the Rockford area that he has a concussion.

My high school's football team stole CMU's "flying C" insignia for their helmets and we too share MSU's fight song. It was pretty disgusting for this Michigan fan/WMU grad. I honestly think State's fight song is pretty good though.

My alma mater uses Illinois' fight song. I didn't really like it a whole lot.

Did anybody else read the headline and think about the part in Slapshot when Ned Braden gets benched for not gooning it up?

Oddly enough my high school in Grosse Pointe had the Oregon fight song. Didn't realize it until I was playing aganist Oregon in a rose bowl in NCAA and they scored.

plays "Let's Go _____" like every God-fearing High School in these United States. The crisp tang of the fall air surrounded you as you walked through the suburban grid. Somewhere distant, but not too distant, a church bell (or amplified speakers) chimed the hour.
