Blind Optimism for tomorrow

Submitted by sedieso on
Before I begin, I would like to warn you that what I have to say is absolutely bullshit and will never happen, but in a perfect world it would happen. Anyways, some are having nervous breakdowns about whether we are going to close the deal or not tomorrow with a number of recruits. People are freaking out about our chances with Stokes and Denard and whether Pearlie and Dequinta are going to stay or not. I say, who cares? Why you may ask, because I just have this feeling that we will not only close strong tomorrow, but we will in all likelihood jump up to the number one spot on Rivals, Scout, ESPN, and Tom Lemmings lists. Tomorrow we will not only lose commitments from Pearlie and Dequinta, we will not even sign Denard and Je'Ron. Who gives though. In their place we will get Chris Davenport, Jaccobi McDaniels, Rueben Randle, Russel Shepard, and for the surprise of the century, Dre Kirkpatrick. Call me crazy, which I am, and call me stupid, which I am, but it never hurts to imagine does it?

equals freaking out. The only people freaking out are those whose self-esteem is directly connected to the fortunes of their favorite college football team. I think that defines relatively few here, at least among the regulars.
