He stands alone leading all RBs in the country with 9 TDs, and is top 10 in yards and top 15 in yards per attempt. Caveats apply, but I only see maaaaaybe 3 games left on the schedule with defenses who could potentially stop him, and that's potentially.

If we run the table, I'd be flabbergasted if he isn't in NY.

Remember back when we were all kinda sad that Zach Charbonnet transferred out?  We thought he was great and couldn't reason why he'd want to transfer.

Well, he is a great back!  And he's getting his money's worth of fame at UCLA.  But he couldn't crack the 2-deep here, and we know why.  Blake Corum has made that perfectly clear...

If you're suggesting that TODAY Charbonnet would not crack the 2-deep at RB at Michigan, that's just crazy talk.

It would probably be more of a 1a-1b or 1-2 situation with Corum and him. He would definitely be ahead of true freshman Stokes, imo.

He's a California kid and it's not crazy that he wanted to be back near home.

I love the idea but I'm concerned that it may be at conflict with the team goals. Given the schedule, I'm not sure how much sense it makes to pile on the carries in games that aren't competitive. I'd rather spread out that load when we can and keep Corum as fresh as possible for tOSU/B1G/playoff dreams.

With the ensuing growing pains of a first year starter at quarterback, I'm certain that almost all of our games will be competitive. Maryland wasn't supposed to be competitive (17pt spread), and without Corum saving the offenses bacon, it very well may have been a loss. I definitely prefer his carries to be <25, but if he averages 6ypc he'll be around 150 yards per game. That would equal a winning formula, and winning is the ultimate team goal.

I know that everyone is high on JJ, but with JJ's growing pains and ball security concerns, Corum is the best player on the offense. And, as electric as Blake is, he can run the team to the playoffs. Sprinkle in Edwards' versatility (creating easier, safer throws for JJ), and this offense can carry the team.

I don't think Corum's performance was schemed for the most part. He is so quick to bounce and go if the hole moves or the outside is open. Iowa will be looking at Corum (practicing their gaps), which should take the focus off JJ. There are many weapons on O for Michigan, and it will be whack a mole for the Hawkeyes.
