Big weekend
Not sure if this has been posted yet. I just read a rivals article that listed prospects coming this weekend to visit UM:
Cameron Gordon
B. Mingo
S. Montgomery
Marcus Hall
M. Schofield
D. Robinson
Adrian Witty
T. Stallworth
J. Stokes, Bennie Logan, Kenny Bell will be in on 1/16th
Demonre Hurst is not sched to visit
As a side note everyone who was expected to enroll early is on campus and starting orientation. W. Campbell still needs to finish credit at school and will be going back and forth to UM.
Hopefully everyone will have a great experience visiting and RR and crew can work some magic!

I believe I heard a rumor flying around that Tajh might visit this weekend

What's the scoop on Witty? He's not rated and doesn't have an offer yet from RR. Is he expected to get one this weekend? If so, what are the chances he commits?

I talked to Travante Stallworth today, he had just gotten done talking to Fred Jackson. He's really excited to get up there, and see everything.

think we have a good chance of landing any specific individuals from this weekend's visit?

I seen Stallworth play QB/WR I know he's being brought in as WR but any chance he could get a chance at QB or is just to raw at the position?

What did you seen?
January 6th, 2009 at 9:27 PM ^
we'll land stallworth....after that we'll probably land another o lineman....hopefully its Qdub, we need a guard more than we need another tackle.....then our major positions of need (CB,LB) dont look to good right now...the top 4 we are targeting (hosley, edwards, hurst, mywan jackson)arent real high on us right now, so i would expect us to offer a backup plan such as adrian witty...as far as LB Mingo would be a killer steal if we could land him....i think sam w. said he's as fast of LB as Jenkins.
January 6th, 2009 at 10:52 PM ^
Mingo is a lot stiffer than Jenkins. He's 6'5" and will be a SAM or a WDE. He's pretty athletic, but Jenkins could play any of the three linebacker positions. Not so for Mingo.

Yeah, Mingo reminds me a lot of Shawn Crable, and will likely be used in a similar manner. YMRHFSPA candidate.

Stallworth is like 5'9", IIRC, and that's just too short to play QB unless you're as awesome as Reggie Ball. Slot all the way, I bet.

TS list at 6'1 I think? thats what I've seen so far

Ah alright cool thanks.

5'10 or not, I love the way Stallworth runs. He's so smooth. I wouldn't mind seeing him get a few reps at QB, even if only as a running option.
January 7th, 2009 at 11:10 AM ^
so what's the deal?
January 7th, 2009 at 4:13 PM ^
He's not coming. The only viable QB visiting this weekend is Denard Robinson.
