Statistical anomalies if you've ever seen one. How you get a 63 point positive differential for an entire season and only win three games is beyond me.

To me, it just reinforces the idea that Nebraska was a mentally weak team. The team was good enough to win just about every game it played. Heck, even the OSU game was really close in the fourth quarter, and I remember Nebraska drew up some extremely creative offensive play-calling when they played Michigan. So there was certainly the ability to win those games. They've got talent, too. Certainly enough talent to win a very weak Western division.

But something always seemed to happen that would cause them to blow the game. A crucial fumble, a pick six, missed fourth down conversions, punts got blocked, etc. And when one mistake happened, another one happened. And then another. Or maybe they only make one mistake, but that one mistake costs them the whole game and happens at the worst possible time.

Scott Frost's teams know how to compete, but they don't know how to win. When the game is close, they panic that they're going to make a mistake, and if you allow yourself to think you're going to make a mistake, odds are you're going to have a self-fulfilling prophecy on your hands and make a mistake.

They probably should have had 5 wins but they weren't THAT good last year.  Their defense was solid but their offense was largely broken, and so this year I think their offense will be a bit better (though who knows who they'll have at QB) but their defense had a lot of turnover so it'll probably take a step back.

I really don't think he'll survive this year; I know Harbaugh had a similar situation coming into last year but he had a history of success while Frost basically has one really good year at UCF and mediocrity every other season and a lot of bad vibes around his program.

Im sure the media will hate on Michigan like they have been for the past few weeks.

If you listen to Ch 84 on Siriusxm you will know what I am talking about.

They have criticized Harbaugh for the whole Vikings thing, for letting 2 5* QBs from his own backyard get away, for being ranked #2 on some list that Mad Dog Russo made of the top 5 most storied cfp, etc.

Some of those are fair criticisms, but it really does feel like people go out of their way to attack UM/Harbaugh whether it is justified or not.

Those criticism are legit. If you want to be a big time program you can't have two 5* QBs in state leave. Harbaugh has done a lot right, he has also failed at some things. This fan base is so thinned skinned. 20 years of mediocrity should have toughen some of you up by now. One season isn't changing the narrative, go out and win 10-11 games and win a bowl game this season and things will start to change slowly.

You can pin the NFL thing on him and the related staff turnover, but the QB thing is not really his fault.  Unless you think he can move the school (Carr wanted to be further from home) or should pay $5M+ for a commit from a QB that has not thrown a college pass, there wasn't much he could do.

I do agree that having another great season will go a long way to building on the success from last year.

Harbaugh’s response to the weak passive-aggressive question from the tool journalist from Lansing was amazing. Body language and words were exactly what that pathetic question deserved. 😆
