Big House Usher Tom Brown has Passed Away
A note from longtime MGoReader Mike Brown about his father, known to many of you.
My father Tom Brown lost his battle with cancer. He was the usher for the last 11 years in section 1 of the upper level of Michigan Stadium. He was thrilled to see them beat Ohio state. Pictured with two of my daughters.

Sorry for your loss, Mike. Your dad will now have an even better view of the Buckeye beatdowns that started in earnest last season.

My background pic on my Ipad is “Thomas” (his name tag was formal) and me at Gate 10 as Ticket scanner before he was promoted to Sec. 1. I’ll miss him Mike we had good times for 14 or 21 Saturdays dealing with those lovely and inebriated coeds.

Sucks to lose good men, but I love the fact that many true-blue Michigan fans that are near the end of their time here got to see one last victory over Ohio St. And did it in major ass-beating style when they may have wondered if they would ever see Michigan beat Ohio St again in their lifetime. Just another reason that game goes down in my book as one the greatest wins in Michigan football history.

Rest In Peace Tom.
Condolences. Thanks for sharing that beaming picture of a proud grandpa doing what he loved and that he was able to enjoy that last "W" in The Game..
Man RIP to your father. I pray that you and your family find a way to continue on with the healing process together. We just lost my mother-in-law, last Friday. Life is unpredictable give your loved ones a hug or a call or anything you can think of to let them know you love them, daily. Because we never know,”the day that arrives when we can’t!”
Rest in peace to your father and condolences to the family.
