Beveled Guilt

Submitted by MinorRage on
Just a reminder that I'm sure like everybody else Brian could use a little extra money during the holidays. If you all are anything like me you spend way too much time on this site and get hours of entertainment for free. Great time to give a little something back to the man in charge.

What assurance do we have Brian does not spend it on booze and crystal meth? Much easier if there was an MGOBLOG maize and blue change bucket outside the KUM-AND-GO so I could unload my trinkets after my beef jery purchases.

..like maybe the OP found a Guild with a "scalloped fretboard" ala John McLaughlin's guitar sometime in the 70's. They're like having a reverse whammy bar (bends up instead of down) on each fret. I don't know know if Guild ever made one for anyone, though. They didn't really catch on.

I just freak out about the time constraints because everything closes early. I always feel like I won't get everything done, and then the stores will close and I'll be doomed. It's like Christmas Eve anxiety, ahh! I'm in charge of shopping for Christmas Eve dinner food too, so I'll need to go grocery shopping. I've been ordered to find a "standing rib roast" which sounds mean to animals (standing as opposed to what? Sitting?) and I'm going to try and make my own tofurkey this year too. Should be fun!

Standing actually refers to how it is positioned when it is being roasted. I get anxiety too. I'm about to go run after work to J&R and buy a season of I Dream of Genie or I Love Lucy DVDs for my grandma. Still have my sister and grandpa left. No idea what to get grandpa.

Thanks for the tip! So am I looking for a "rib roast", then? "Standing" will not be part of the name? I'm happy you're almost done! I'm still at work. Get your sister a yummy-smelling candle, like from Bath and Body Works. I've never gotten a candle I did not like. =)

Haha go for it. It takes like five hours to cook (literally) so plan accordingly. What did you end up getting your grandpa? I couldn't figure out what to get my brother but ended up getting him Modern Warfare 2 and some Street Fighter game for XBOX 360. Not sure what either of those are but I've heard a lot about them!

My gf actually just got me MW2 for Christmas. I'm pretty pumped; I warned her it may or may not have a negative impact on our relationship. She already teases me about MGoBlogging. I got my grandparents both some DVDs of old school tv shows (I Dream of Genie, Andy Griffith show, Honey mooners etc.) They seemed to enjoy it, but they could be faking it.

I think I have, but y'know what? I think I'm going to do it this year just in case I haven't. I think it worthwhile to support thi blog, and I'm going to give $20.00 and challenge everyone who hates me to match it. Fuck You! Negbang and then DONATE. I WILL say I'm always cautious about the ol' credit card number being posted on the intranets, though. I hope this site is as careful with it as those Nigerian banks.
