Betting Site Suggestions

Submitted by BernardC on March 17th, 2019 at 7:59 AM

I haven't seen this topic in a bit. I'm looking to place some action on today's game so which site is reliable, pays out as supposed to, and I can easily deposit money into?  I'm not looking to have to use Western Union to deposit money like the old days! LOL.

Bovada pays out.  Can deposit with visa and MasterCard.  Make sure to monitor the card you use diligently after because offshore betting sites are notorious for getting hacked.

I use Bovada and have gotten paid out fine.  But I highly suggest using BitCoin for deposit and withdrawal.  You can cash out every three days for no fee.   I buy it and send it to Bovada through the CashApp, and then withdraw it through Coinbase.  Bovada was declining my Visa and so I went to bitcoin, and it's been a great betting experience ever since in terms of I can way better manage my bankroll and cash out profits when needed.

But disclosure with Bovada in that it's often critisized, rightfully so, for having too juiced of lines in the long-run.  But if you're looking to just place one big bet on today's game then it shouldn't matter though.

5Dimes is good reduced lines, but I hate their site layout.  I've never have used BetOnline before but I've only heard positive things about it .

I second Bovada, cashing in with cashapp, and cashing out with Bitcoin. However, look into getting a bitcoin wallet other than coinbase to deposit FROM Bovada. Deposit from Bovada to that walllet - then to Coinbase. Then coinbase to your bank account.

Coinbase has substantial ties to the banking industry fwiw. Online betting from overseas sportsbooks is on the frontier of what is legal or not. I don't do it any more given this.

Do not get a check from Bovada. They will fix any issues, but I had a major pain in the ass getting issued a check from canadian bank with a return address of a native american reservation in quebec (IRC).

The lines on Bovada IMO are not as bad as people say.... Plus it works.

Answering your question I used Bodog/Bovada for years. But as pointed out already their lines can be inflated so I recently switched most of my betting to Heritagesports.eu.

Also as pointed out I would highly recommend never betting for or against Michigan which has been a rule of mine for years now. Vegas makes a lot of money off emotional fans. Betting out of emotion will cause you to lose money over time, that's what they are counting on. and Since Michigan has "the most living alumni" or whatever I am sure that the lines for our games are generally skewed to take advantage of that fact.

Story time: August 30, 2003. Michigan is hosting Mike Debord's CMU chippewas to open the season. The spread was Michigan -35. I thought to myself that there was no way that Mr. Conservative Lloyd Carr is going to open up his playbook and show his hand two weeks before the ND game. Plus I was under the assumption that Carr and Debord were good friends from their time coaching at Michigan together througout the 90s. No way does Michigan cover that spread accordingly, game will be something like 35-9.

Nope, Michigan won that game 45-7 and I never bet for or against Michigan ever again. Actually rooting against us to some extent so that CMU would cover was one of my worst experiences as a fan. Even now when my buddy sends me his wise guys picks I will just ignore anything that has to do with a Michigan game and just bet on the rest. I highly recommend you do the same.

I use BetDsi, it is fairly painless to set up an account.  They have a normal sportsbook and a retro book. There can be a difference in the spread between the two so check both before you bet and pick the one most favorable to your wager.

I use BetDSI as well. I’m not a gambler by any means but I did put a whopping 50 bucks in my account last football season to make things more exciting (stressful).  My account today is at 55 after all was said and done so meh.

I haven’t bet on my teams until today.  I took Michigan +1 and took the over of 129.5.

I think that’s a great deal, for the entertainment (and a little stress) that $50 provided even if you lost it all it would still have been worth it.   I was going to cash out after football ended but at this point I think I’m just going to keep it in there for next season, it’s just too much fun.

Bookmaker, bet online, and 5 dimes are all excellent. I’ve held an account at all three for years now. Lots of money coming in on Michigan. Moved the spread from MSU-1.5 to Michigan -1. I am gonna put a small wager on Michigan today bc it’s exceedingly difficult to beat a team 3 times in such a short period of time.

Frankly speaking, I've never liked betting. It's just not my cup of tea. However, I like risky undertakings and one of them is gambling. But because of the pandemic, I have to play online only. And in order to make it safer, I prefer to find out about a casino as much as possible before starting playing. For instance, this page with review on BondiBet Casino helped me to find out all the pros and cons of this casino.
