Best place to buy tickets on day of game?

Submitted by Undefeated dre… on
Apologies if this is a repost. I may try to go to the game tomorrow with my two young kids, pending how soccer games go in the morning. It would be a spur of the moment kind of thing (something only a home game against Delaware State) makes possible. Where's the best place to purchase tickets? I'm aware of the thread here on buying/selling, or craigslist, but this is a scenario where I'd be about 1 mile from the stadium and we'd just decide to walk there and try our hand at getting tickets. I've seen 'brokers' all around the stadium and at the union, but I'm curious if there's any expert opinions on how it's done.

Near Golden/Park -- that neighborhood near the Kroger. Make sure the tickets you buy are all actually together and not just sold together. Sometimes you'll see people obviously going to the game near Crisler getting rid of extras. That might be a way to go as well.

...take a bath on games like this, but they go anyway. I would wait until gametime and make an obscenely low offer. If you only needed one or two, I would still recommend going to one of the local bars or eateries to avoid the scalpers, but needing three tix will probably require doing business with them.

I have three tickets for sale. It is in a section that is mostly older alum. Not great seats, but good enough for sure. I would do all three for $50. If you end up needing them, you could text me or something.

Talk about an odd market. If I lived closer than the 3 hours away I currently do, you couldn't keep me away from even a game like this. At $10 a ticket, you might as well be paying me to go.....

If you are going to have a last minute decision, Walk right up to one of the gates. At kickoff you should be able to find four together. Good seats at a l-o-w price. Give them $10 for all four. If you only need three you can be nice and hand one to somebody, or give yourself some extra room

Main and whatever that little cross street is. Just stand there with your two sons and say "looking for three." Don't deal with scalpers. As it gets close to game time, an alum whose friend told him, "get what you can for these," will either give them to you really cheap (no more than $10 a ticket I'd say for Del. St.," or just hand them to you. If you get only two together, the stadium will have enough room for your third to sit with you.

Go to the main entrance on Main/Stadium and wait until about 10-15 minutes before kickoff. That is when and where they will be the cheapest. Those people just want to get rid of their extra tickets for whatever they can sell them for.
