BBall team is too short and can’t shoot. Can’t coach that.

Juwan got shafted with a roster that makes no sense especially without Livers.

Can’t coach players to grow. I’m done seeing Franz pretend to be his brother for the rest of the year. Hit a fucking shot kid then scream like a maniac.

The new croots should be salivating at playing time for next year.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, you can't teach organic chemistry. Either you're born understanding resonance structures and stereochemistry or you don't! No in between!!

Certain visual aspects of Orgo can't be taught, but first-year stereochemistry can most definitely be taught using a stepwise approach. Reaction mechanisms and synthesis concepts can also be taught, though getting good at them takes quite a bit of practice.

Lots more students could be good at Orgo, but many profs are completely ineffective at teaching it, and a large percentage of students aren't willing to spend the 10-15 hours a week it takes to get good at it.

Definitely a more interesting topic than the basketball team right now.

Hey guys its OK if we criticize Juwan Howard a little bit. He isn't immune from criticism just because he is new

The defense going from Elite last season to one of the worst this season is definitely something that falls on Howard. Losing Charles Matthews was a blow but Teske and Simpsons defense has regressed majorly. It has to be a scheme and game-planning issue. I know Yaklich was a top tier defensive coach but the defense shouldn't have fallen off a cliff like this

Scoring? Im not going to blame Howard for this. These are Beileins guys and they struggled last season as well. They cant make free throws or 3 pointers with any ounce of consistency.

Criticize Howard for what?

It's not like Atlantis wasn't evidence of them look great when playing D-1 caliber level basketball.

People argue they were shooting unsustainably lights out then. That's what teams do. That's what teams are doing against us. And they're taking shots far more difficult than our players are.

Average shooting and we win at least half of these games.

5-28 from 3, maybe 2 forced shots, in a 9pt loss.

12-21 from the line in a 2pt last second loss.

Yeah, blame coaching.

There's nothing left to try.

JB left a huge hole in the roster. Without Livers this team is lost as he is the spark.  Feel real bad for him as he was playing great before the injury and was clearly the difference when in the game today.  Hope he returns next year.

The Iggy, Poole, Matthews hole was too big to fill this year.

Beilein didn't leave the hole. 2 underclassmen turning pro did. That's not on Beilein. I don't blame the kids for making a decision, but it's certainly not the ex-coach's fault.

I like Howard, but he's a first year coach. It's fair to surmise this team would probably have a better record if JB were still coach.

This team beat Gonzaga. There's talent there. Hopefully Livers will be ok soon and they start putting things together.

I didn't mean to knock Coach Howard at all.

Beilein recruited these players, not Howard. It's not unreasonable to think he'd probably be better able to fit his own pieces together.

It's also Coach Howard's first year. Of course there's a learning curve. I am ALL for giving him time and opportunity to succeed.

IMO, Beilein became increasingly frustrated by players leaving early for the NBA, and that contributed significantly to his decision to leave.

I don't think he ran away because he believed this particular team was lacking; more that his method of bringing in guys to develop and blossom over time was increasingly difficult in the current college environment.

Coach Howard has brought some interesting changes to the way Michigan plays, and he's killing it in recruiting. The future looks bright.

Also this is as tough is the Big Ten has ever been in the 20 years of data per kenpom (except for one season that ranks percentage points ahead of this year)
