BBall Recruiting - 5* Nimari Burnett Visit Reaction/Update
As I reported yesterday, Nimari has eliminated Lousiville (he cancelled his OV) and is down to a final 4 of Michigan, Alabama, Oregon and Texas Tech.
More importantly, this is the first time you guys can get an inside look at the recruiting approach under the new staff. I definitely think its conducive to attracting elite talent.

I don't follow BB that closely outside of UM. Is Alabama a serious BB program? I never hear buzz about them in the tournament.

In the off-season, they hired Nate Oates who is a young coach who got Buffalo to a 30+-win season they year after blowing out Arizona in the NCAA tourney. Recruiting more off the coach buzz than off of the historic success of the program.

Of course, satan is letting them borrow their bagmen and the waterfalls.

They should really stick to the rivers and the lakes that they're used to.

They're gonna have it their way or nothing at all

But I think they're moving too fast

They don't use bagmen anymore. There is just a new car loaner waiting for them in the student athlete's parking lot.

I always look forward to your posts, thanks. Probably a good sign he cancelled his OV to one of the dirtiest schools in college hoops, at least Blue has a chance. Excited for the first true Juwan commit, hopefully a couple dominoes fall after. Go Blue

Early returns on Coach Howard seem to be great! Really like our first glance at the staffs recruiting approach. I can't remember someone this highly touted seriously considering Michigan since McGary. The fact that the staff see him playing early and often, gets me really excited for them to land Burnett.

Don't forget Jaylen Brown and Mo Bamba

Fair enough, I totally forgot about Brown. I guess I would eliminate Bamba from this because there was some dirty stuff associated with his recruitment and therefore he wouldn't have ever actually signed with Michigan.

And perhaps Battle as well.

I have not been bashful regarding the value I believe Nimari holds for Michigan. I love how this kid plays the game. I see Nimari as the quintessential PG...he can do it all...and in the right way for the right reasons. For me he is clearly the highest priority kid in this class...because other top end kid will love to play on a team that has Nimari running the show.

Lance Ware is announcing Thursday, less than 24 hours after Calipari visits him. Gee, wonder where hes gonna commit to?
