Basketball and Hockey Uniform Colors

Submitted by Hard Gay on
I'm just curious as to what determines when we wear the maize jerseys at home or on the road. Is it just random? *Joke notice* And why don't we have black uniforms? *end joke* I mean, i knew it wasn't THAT funny but i didn't think everyone would think it was serious.

I'm can't answer the first question definitively, but I have a feeling it's something as simple as it being the decision of a guy in the AD / equipment manager / coach. As for the black jersey, UM doesn't wear them because that would look retarded.

I thought the yellow jerseys are worn for BIG games. Like duke and I think they wore them for purdue? Ik they wore them for more games than 2. I just can remember the others. Correct me if I'm wrong on that.

Hockey usually wears maize on Saturday night games. But yeah, they're generally used in the "Big Games." And did you see Purdue's black unis? Awful, simply awful.

The maize unis are atrocious for both hockey and bball. The home colors should be white with blue for the road. Maize should only be used an accent color.

Maize football Jerseys: No, Never. No idea about hockey. Basketball I think the home team choses what jersey's to wear. Big games Michigan choses to wear the Maize jersey's (Duke, Purdue, MSU, et.). So when the home team is wearing white Michigan can wear Maize or Blue.
