Barcelona! What a come back!

Down 4-0 after the away match. 2-0 at half (4-2 down on aggregate there was hope). Until PSG scored a goal! That meant that Barca would have to score two goals . . . and score two they did! WOW! Just WOW! League of Champions Baby!

Amazing comeback by a team left for dead in the media ("the end of this era of Barca") for the past month.  This result today was deserved...however, as an honest observer of the game, that was not a penalty on Suarez.

That said, 6-1 means  you dominated the game and put yourself in position for victory.  Amazing.

THe handball in the box was probably a penalty kick, though I could see the no call there for a variety of reasons.

The foul on Suarez was a flop. That being said, if you look at where the ref is vs. the play, I understand why he would have assumed it was a penalty. The defender did put his arm over Suaraz's shoulder as if he was going to impede his progress. Ref couldn't see much else from his angle.

Tough break for PSG on both those calls, but it didn't seem like incompetent or nefarious refereeing. I'm sure PSG fans will disagree. SPORTS!

That is NOT a handball and parents who scream at referees in instances like this drive me nuts. The ball was fired directly at him from close range and his arm was in a natural position down by his side. He did not make himself bigger, he could not avoid the ball, and the ball played him (not the other way around). That is NOT a handling foul.

As far as Suarez's foul/dive that was borderline in my opinion. The problem is that the defender had no idea where the ball was, wasn't looking for it, and was 100% intent on obstructing Suarez. The ref has to "guess" as to the defenders intention. He seemed to be correctly calling plenty of dives on Suarez , Neymar and Barca all day so I don't think he was biased as some suggest.

At the end of the day PSG played like crap with no guts. Giving up six goals is no accident even to a super team like Barca. They have only themselves to blame.

When the other team turtles and plays like crap. Totally agree. Didn't recognize the PSG team that was out there yesterday. They looked like world beaters the last time out but such is futbol. Amazing ending.

Replaces my last most recent favorite soccer memory, which was Lewandowski scoring five goals in a match. Not sure if anything could bump this one off unless usmnt makes semis in World Cup.

I get what you're saying, but being unaware of where your opponent is is not a penalty. And Suarez clearly made a meal of it, going down theatrically when in reality he was barely touched. If the center didn't have a good look at it, he should have a called the side official over and discussed it.

Great, great comeback, but just a little bit tainted IMO. And I'm a huge Barcelona fan.

EDIT: oops, I realized I responded to the wrong post; I meant to respond to ZoltanRules. Points remain the same!

It was only two weeks ago some clown wrote that the Barcelona dynasty was finished. Now they're first in La Liga and going to the quarters.

I once had to win a match 5-0 after blowing the home leg 4-0 to Bronby in a Champions League quarterfinal on Football Manager like 2001 or something.

We won 7-2 on the night 7-6 on agg.  Great night in Liverpool that one.
