Interesting that both assistants were hired for head coaching positions after all the heat this staff has taken (including from myself). They must be doing something right.

Saying its on Beilein before the proofs actually in is woefully premature and why I get message board headaches. If the bigs don't develop next year better than they have in the past (Morgan, Mitch? Vs last couple of years from Horford onward), then some might should look at coach B for his hiring practices, but for now...imo, this was the one big staff change we needed anyway. BA seemed like a jovial fellow, but I questioned what I heard from those speeches and the positional evidence in terms of production, development and overall toughness has been pretty woeful there.

I would say the head coach should share some of the blame only for not acting earlier here in an area known for its struggles. No doubt buck stops with him and Bball coaches are more closely tied to each player on the team than say a football head coach is....but I still think it's a hiring thing.

My take is he should consider going full hat auto and pluck big man/hella recruiter coaches from nba. I fear he is going to go the canisius-give-a-young guy a chance route though.

With two vacancies on the staff, I think the need to fill them as soon as possible becomes a little more apparent, and I think we actually lost our video coordinator to Jordan's staff as well, so there's another position - a minor one perhaps, but one all the same.

Good luck to Bacari in his return to Detroit though - one of the funny things about coaching, as we've seen here with football, is that you can indeed come home again.
