Audric Estime, who committed to Michigan State in September, signed with Notre Dame on Friday,

Estime to ND was estimated correctly apparently.
December 18th, 2020 at 3:27 PM ^
Audr, I C what you did there
December 18th, 2020 at 3:44 PM ^
Looks like VanDeMark did sign with MSU today. Benny will be interesting to follow through February.
December 18th, 2020 at 4:02 PM ^
MSU n'a pas estimé.
December 18th, 2020 at 3:22 PM ^
I guess he was Tuckered out
December 18th, 2020 at 6:35 PM ^
It had to sting like a mother Tucker!
December 18th, 2020 at 3:22 PM ^
Es time for MSU to move on from him
December 18th, 2020 at 3:25 PM ^
It was pretty much expected when he got the ND offer. MSU already went out and got Harold Joiner from Auburn yesterday to take his spot.
December 18th, 2020 at 3:28 PM ^
Yeah, if I was MSU, I wouldn't be too upset considering they got a pretty highly rated RB anyway. Joiner is huge for a RB though. He's listed at 6'4 215lbs which is ridiculous for a RB. Might as well be a TE
December 18th, 2020 at 3:35 PM ^
Well, MSU had 2 TEs get hurt this season and had to start a former punter there (who was actually serviceable, props to him), so they could use another TE too. I'd rather have Estime with a whole college career in front of him, but Joiner isn't a bad replacement.
December 18th, 2020 at 3:49 PM ^
Curious why he was so low on Auburn depth chart. Nonetheless, gotta be upgrade from Hayward.
December 18th, 2020 at 3:52 PM ^
They got an awesome freshman back in Tank Bigsby who rushed for 800+ yards with 7.6 yds/carry.
December 18th, 2020 at 6:37 PM ^
They are loaded at RB and were trying to play him at H Back and TE. I’m not sure what that means about his ability to pick a hole but he is a monster.
December 18th, 2020 at 4:29 PM ^
He could play DT for us.
December 18th, 2020 at 3:40 PM ^
So apparently Mel Tucker, whose biggest asset is supposedly his recruiting, can't sign guys who are wanted by ND or their equivalent? I'm really having a tough time seeing how he can get anything going at MSU
December 18th, 2020 at 3:46 PM ^
If you were a recruit, would you rather go to a program that's currently in the top 5, or a team that hasn't had a competent offense in 5 years? Expecting Tucker to beat out teams like Bama, OSU, and ND in year 1 is a bit ridiculous. Even if he somehow got MSU back to the Big Ten Championship, he still wouldn't beat those programs for recruits regularly. That's just reality at MSU.
Also, look at ND's offensive line, and then look at MSU's, and tell me which one you'd rather run behind.
December 18th, 2020 at 5:19 PM ^
Yes. Thanks for backing up my point.
December 19th, 2020 at 8:04 AM ^
I’m w Spartan. Not sure how even the best recruiters can out recruit blue blood programs in Y1 when at MSU
December 18th, 2020 at 3:52 PM ^
Uh.... He beat us after being on campus 30 mins, and he beat NW who is playing in the B1G Championship game Saturday. Seems like he has a little something going.
December 18th, 2020 at 5:18 PM ^
They were 2-5 this year. They lost to Rutgers. Bobby Williams also beat Michigan in his first season. I said nothing about Michigan being on top of them. But if the only thing he has is his recruiting and he can't recruit talent anywhere near his competition, then how can anyone expect that he will do much to compete in the Big Ten?
December 18th, 2020 at 4:19 PM ^
ND is quite a bit higher on the totem pole than MSU both historically and currently IMO so it's not shocking that a recruit would flip there. ND obviously isn't Bama/OSU/Clemson but they are in the next tier right behind them, plus they have solid academics.
I don't mean to sound like a ND apologist but I think ND > MSU is pretty clear pecking order.
December 18th, 2020 at 3:27 PM ^
If Benny does switch back over, their class will fall all the way back to 50th or so. The momentum that got them up to 33rd just... kind of faded?
December 18th, 2020 at 3:27 PM ^
He evidently didn't Estime their program to be good enough.
December 18th, 2020 at 3:27 PM ^
That Brian Kelly has quite the audricacity to raid Sparty's class like that!
December 18th, 2020 at 3:31 PM ^
The disrespekt comes from everywhere!
December 18th, 2020 at 8:19 PM ^
Oh shit, just spit my beer out on this one EGJ!
December 18th, 2020 at 3:32 PM ^
Not unexpected. Good luck to the young man.
December 18th, 2020 at 3:33 PM ^
I guess Audric didn't find the estime of his brand to be acurate by staee!
December 18th, 2020 at 3:33 PM ^
Rico Beard is now hinting on 97.1 The Ticket that either Payton Thorne or Rocky Lombardi is leaving MSU as well.
Mel just signed on Grad Transfer QB Anthony Russo from Temple, seems that is isn't being received too well by the QB room.
Thorne actually looked pretty impressive in his limited time, finally winning the starting job considering the mess around him. I think he is far and away better than any other QB they got, even with Russo in the fold.
December 18th, 2020 at 3:34 PM ^
Just imagine how well Rocky would practice against our defense everyday!!!
December 18th, 2020 at 4:21 PM ^
I hope your right and it's Thorne....he looked pretty good in a small sample ! That would be great if the rosso transfer backfires and he didn't pan out and Thorne left!
December 18th, 2020 at 4:42 PM ^
It's Rocky. Just announced.
December 18th, 2020 at 5:09 PM ^
Rocky leaving doesn't hurt them much.
He's been in the program long enough, and the eyeball test is a mid level overall talent. Good kid who was very loyal, just not a game changer.
Thorne looks more balanced skill wise, will give the transfer competition.
Mel is definately clearing the roster, and looks to 2-3 cycles away from being relevant in the BIG.
December 18th, 2020 at 3:43 PM ^
It won't sting at all for them, they just picked up the #5 back from a couple years ago out of auburn. He was in the portal
December 18th, 2020 at 4:24 PM ^
Estime has a lot of potential. If he stays healthy, ND is getting a good one.
December 18th, 2020 at 5:00 PM ^
Rocky Lombardi in transfer portal
