You sound like a 70 year old man. Piped in music is great when done at the right times and in a tasteful manner. It really enhances the game day atmosphere and hits a chord with the younger generation.
Please remove yourself from the 1970's.

I mean, how the hell are the fans and players supposed to hear the keys jingling during a "key play"?
/ Hopes like hell that the "KEY PLAY" tradition died a quick and violent death /

The jingling keys thing has been gone for many years.

The key play tradition was actually pretty cool when it was actually deployed for, you know, key plays. Unfortunately, "key play" evolved into "every third down" and the whole thing became stupid.

I know the band has custom stand alignment in its current location to deal with the logistics of fitting them / instruments in that area. It may be time to take an offseason to move an endzone student block to that space and move the band to the endzone. Would make a world of difference toward more of the stadium hearing them in the stands -- But bleachers would surely need to be modified.

Less Piped in Music....

As has been stated there should be a good balance between, band, piped-in music and some moments of silence.
There is nothing better than standing up, looking around and just soaking in the greatness of being at a football game on a fall afternoon.
Moments of silence also provide opportunities for the cheerleaders and students to "be creative". What screams college more than student generated entertainment?
I loved hearing the band play Temptation after 3rd down stops on the broadcast this week. That is the type of thing that makes Michigan Michigan.
A couple songs piped-in during the true luls is great to get people singing and dancing. A DJ with an itchy play finger anytime there isn't something else going on is like a ref who can't stop throwing his flag.

Holy cow the concession prices are up there with the best of them! $16 for a burger basket, $6.50 for a dog and $75 later with some sodas and waters and I was thinking my PSD was a steal.
I know the athletic dept has to make money but do we have take it in the cakes that bad!?
