Art Vuolo interviews a young Jim Harbaugh

Submitted by MGoArchive on

Ace's post on the main page inspired me to share a few tidbits about a guy who has been a huge promoter of MIchigan Football throughout the years - Art Vuolo ("Radio's Best Friend")

Art has the most definitive collection Michigan history ever recorded. He's been involved with the program for the better part of 40 years. At the recent Bob Ufer quarterback club, the video he produced got a standing ovation from Jack and Jim Harbaugh. They were the first people to stand up - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4D0q792mTFE

*Edit- Art will be celebrating his 70th birthday in September, but he's still going strong. I'll be acquiring and digitzing some of his older archives. He's got some real gems, stuff that the Bentley people don't even have.

More goodies to share as we get closer to the beginning of the season.

Watch the whole clip, it's hilarious.

Also, Art has a site where you can purchase many Michigan games on DVD - http://www.vuolovideo.com/u-mfootball.html

Howard's catch, Woodson's one-handed INT, and the entire 1997 season?

I was four when he passed, but jsut hearing the replays give me chills. A legend as great as Bo and Yost. He is Michigan.

Lots of good stuff in those videos. My favorite clip was Harbaugh running off the field in Columbus after backing up his guarantee.
