Ed-M: Six! Six fake commits ah ah ah. Sorry for hijacking this thread, but it's too entertaining not to have it all in one place.

For those just joining us, 4-star WR DeAnthony Arnett has a press conference tomorrow night to announce his school choice. In the meantime, he is having a bit of fun at the expense of fans who follow this stuff way too closely.

The kid is obviously talented but he seems like a dick. I liked that he was poking fun at the whole process but there was no need to take cheapshots at Rodriguez and Tennessee's QB.

Well, the camera man did say "we hate Kiffin" in the Tennessee video, so USC got bashed, too.  I think the initial assumption that these were rejection videos was correct.  He's left with MSU and Cal from his top 5.  He's been saying he's going to shock everybody with his pick, which is why I think he left Cal in the running.  He's likely to pick up a Cal hat tomorrow, toss it away, and don a Spartan cap.

If he reads this I would like to tell him that I don't want him to come to UofM. This is my opinion and you are all entitled to yours. He is a me not a we. His brother's hopes and dreams are centered on his younger brother making it so he can have a slice and they are making a mockery out of everything and disrespecting everyone in the process. If he did come to UofM he would, again IMO, flame out in the first year and transfer. Save us the headache and go somewhere else.

the president and former president aren't 18 year old kids. & I'd say the president of the united states is a little more important than a random michigan football recruit. You're judging the character of a kid you literally only know from his twitter videos. That's pretty ridiculous. I think I and the majority of this board will trust the opinion of the coaching staff that's been recruiting him for 2 years

This is the same staff that recruited TP to the bitter end. What kind of person did he end up being? During his recruitment there were the stories of his unbelievable shitheadedness at basketball games. Not all the players are choir boys (that's what it seems like you think) but some are worse than others.

Right. And it's also the same staff that recruited the 'team first' players we have now. Your argument goes both ways. I certainly don't think all the players are choir boys but I also don't think you can tell from just a few Twitter videos.

Reading through your comments it seems clear that you can't make your point without insulting the person whose comments you disagree with. That would be a debate fail. Every point you make about how I am being unfair to Arnett seems contradictory because you don't know me but you act as though you do. You are so full of fail and hypocrisy in these posts that it's laughable. News flash, no one cares if you want him to come to Michigan. Especially a billion Chinese people that don't even know who he is.

I don't really care where he goes. I'm just laughing at all these adults, getting mad at a kid for having alittle fun. If you have read his twitter before, you would realize he is a comedian. What kid isn't out for attention or an ego stroke at 17?

The whole "dickrod", could be used to throw people off. I will wait till tommorrow night, before i get all worked up over nothing. I wish DeAnthony the best, wherever he goes.

I think it's ridiculous to get angry over the kid making funny videos like the first two, I don't think its ridiculous to get angry over somebody insulting our alma mater, coaches, players, and the university that we love to an obsessional point.  No reason to be an asshole about people who offered you thousands of dollars in scholarship funds as well as an education and chance to make millions more.  That's just rude, no matter who you are.

See, he's 18.  He's not responsible for the things he does.  Because he's 18.  Get it?  It's neat how that works.  He's kind of famous for the things he does - like catch a football and run fast and put up videos on Twitter - but if he does something you don't like, it's okay because he's just an innocent little boy!

So you are saying all kids are "out for attention and an ego stroke"? I understand that I take recruiting too seriously, and more than up for taking some ribbing for it, but I think it certainly is not much of a stretch to say that this kid is no Kellen Jones. I love the talent but this whole thing screams RUN to me.

This kid has no respect for the whole recruiting process...These coaches and universities opened up to him to be part of a family and he just shits on them and the whole process.  I know if i was getting all these free trips i would be thankful as hell.  Being humble goes a long way...look at Denard and how much love and respect he gets. This whole video shit just makes this kid and the camera guy look like complete arragant assholes.
