BBQ is on May 30.
that definitely deserves negative points.
premature postulation
BBQ went great. Had all the neighbors over and...wait...what? Not my BBQ? Oops.
It's not a BBQ unless there are brats and ribs!
P.S. sweet baby rays BBQ sauce is the only real BBQ sauce
+1, Honey BBQ
Sweet Baby Rays! Niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice
what if i just drive up to his place and hop in line for the grill?
I've become a huge fan of the honey chipotle Sweet Baby Rays. Nice kick to it.
Sweet Baby Ray's is good, but for me no sauce will EVER beat Montgomery Inn (available at every Kroger.)
-slightly biased Cincinnati native
Not a Cincinnati native but I have to agree re: Montgomery Inn, some of the best BBQ sauce I've ever had.
I was going to post about Montgomery Inn sauce until I read down to your posts. Yes, this is the best BBQ sauce, I'm really upset I can't buy it out here. Admittedly, this means I do but the Honey Sweet Baby Rays.
Rudolph's BBQ Sauce from Minnepolis is the best - they sell it at the restaurant and at Byerlys I believe and maybe some of the other grocery stores.
My parents live in Minnesota and I have them bring me sauce when they come and visit (along with Grain Belt beer).
Well crap, 10:30 and there goes my commitment to eat better.
(For you Texas boys) Sonny Bryan's, here I come.
It's too early in the year for decent sweet corn.
Depends on what area of the country you live in. We've had sweet corn for a couple weeks now (Texas).
Speaking of Texas (way off the topic here), we had my wife's friend over yesterday and I found out her husband went to tOSUcks. Was it OK for me to deny his request to go swimming for fear he would pee in the pool?
I just had some corn two days ago. It was real good. It's been out for a few weeks.
----------Florida
...I just had me some BBQ Fritos.
Those are awesome.
In other news, I've lost 15 pounds since the end of January. (The Fritos were a rare treat.)
Wonder if they are going to have a rib eating contest?
Okay, this might sound weird, but I really like to just put some Sweet Baby Ray's in a bowl and eat it using little pretzel sticks. The pretzels are mostly a delivery method for the sauce, but they also have some salt which helps it.
Try it sometime and be amazed at how quickly you'll go through a bag of pretzels sticks.
I prefer mustard with my pretzels, but I'm sure that tastes good too.
I like the flavor of Open Pit, but it's just too damn thin. Sweet Baby Ray's it is.
There should be a ton of BBQ news since yesterday was the prime grilling day of the spring.
I threw some burgers on the fire, listened to the Star-Spangled Banner on repeat for about an hour, and fired my rifle indiscriminately into the air. Sober, of course.
More news regarding bbq sauce: You can make it yourself, that's probably better than anything you get in the store.............
I'm the one making it.
