"Answer This" movie (filmed at U-M) premiere events
"Answer This" is a movie shot in Ann Arbor in 2009, starring Ralph Williams. It's being picked up for regional distribution and has some premiere events this weekend around the state. It features scenes shot at the UM-WMU game in 2009, and was written and directed by an alum. (Full disclosure: I work for Celebration! Cinema, where tomorrow's premiere is hosted.)
There are a few upcoming premiere screenings worth mentioning:
- Tonight at Emagine in Royal Oak with Dhani Jones in attendance.
-
Friday 10/14 at Celebration! Cinema Grand Rapids North
Food, drinks, and trivia in the Wave Room at 6:30. An 8:00pm screening will be followed by a Q&A with the writer/director. -
Saturday 10/15 also at Celebration! Grand Rapids North:
Watch "Funny or Die" clips before the movie, screen the movie, then a Q&A with Chris Farah and President of Funny Or Die Mike Farah. - More cities like Traverse City and Ann Arbor are listed at the movie website.
Also, Dr. Spaceman is in it.
Dhani Jones info from the movie's Facebook page.
Watch the trailer here, because I can't embed it.
Did any of you attend the screening at the Michigan Theatre? Or, are you going in Grand Rapids tomorrow?
[Edit: Added Dhani Jones info.]

But Ralph Williams is pretty good too.
Good luck with this!

I was at the sneak peek premier at the Michigan Theater last fall and I can tell you that it is a legitimately good movie. Even without the MIchigan connection I would recommend it, but with the Michigan connection it becomes an absolute must see. Take the time to see the trailer and then take the time to go see the movie.

I saw the film last year at Michigan Theatre. It is fun for anyone familiar with Ann Arbor but I'm not sure it will do well outside of Michigan.

"Good morning and a rich welcome to you!" (twirls absurdly long fingers)

It was written and directed by Chris Farah and produced by his brother Mike Farah, the head producer at Funny or Die. Definitely reccomend it.

I was at the premiere last fall and suggest anyone with a sense what if feels to have the college malaise to go see it. Great movie.

I remember 2 years ago when they were filming at my favorite watering hole (Ashley's). They were closed for a week from 11:30am to 5pm to film. I look forward to checking this out.

Gah! Why did I not see this when you posted it!?
Anyway, for anyone interested in this movie, it's at Michigan Theater this week and next. It's also playing in Chicago on Friday. Hopefully, this will be out before Christmas so I can give it to my parents as a present.
