Alabama basketball loses at home to UPenn
This may seem OT but Alabama is one of the main competitors for 5 star G Nimari Burnett. With Alabama also having a new HC Burnett has said he wants to see how the teams he's considering start the first 10 games or so, especially for Michigan and Bama. Hopefully Burnett watched the 1st 30 minutes of our game, switched over when we were up 30, and then watched Bama lose at home. It is worth noting that Penn will be a very good Ivy League team this year.

Itll be interesting to see how these two teams navigate the first ten games or so. They may even play each other in the Bahamas. Texas Tech and Oregon are ranked in the top 15 as well

Actually if he watched our entire game, he could see that playing time should be available next year.

Playing time in the back court is absolutely available, especially next with Simpson graduating.

Seems as if Alabama will be in a position to offer early playing time also.

Does BAMA basketball bagman?

Is their coach someone who is not named John Beilein?
Then yes.

They are in the SEC but I think this Nate Oats guy previously from Buffalo is what is attracting Nimari there.

All SEC teams have bagmen in all sports

Does Uofm basketball bagman ? I’m hoping the answer is now a yes. If I ever become rich I will find a way to bagman myself, y’all should do the same !

Agree. I always try to bag my own. It's a good way to flirt with the nice lady at the register.
November 6th, 2019 at 9:07 AM ^
Yea . No doubt they have bagmen. Especially with Juwan there. Hope he knows how to make it never see the light of day but with 1 and dones, there’s no loyalty.

I went to Penn, so I approve the OP!
Go Quakers!

Ditto. Great to see the Quakers showing out for Philly basketball. Phil Martelli will be pleased!

Is it funny that the Quakers beat Oats?
I think so.

Haha noice.

Penn definitely has some underrated academics for a B1G school
November 5th, 2019 at 10:56 PM ^
Didn't Tua play?
November 5th, 2019 at 11:00 PM ^
Man, and some people here were bummed we couldn't get Oats to flip after JB left.
Unacceptable.
November 5th, 2019 at 11:30 PM ^
Not hard to envision a scenario where Oats ends up in Ann Arbor if Beilein's exit timeline is a little different.
I'm not sold on Oats. I like UB basketball a bit on the side and I'm not convinced Oats wasn't just riding in Bobby Hurley's wake. Time will tell

Nah--Oats rode Hall's coattails.

Need to home their skills.

Alabama might still end up going to the final four. but this is something people who watch football dont understand about basketball. Early season struggles or success mean nothing by the time january and february roll around. Michigan lost to freakin charlotte before coming back winning the big ten making the big ten tournament final and going to the elite8. People need to relax and not overreact at this point. With that said....FUCK BAMA. I really hope Nimari was watching that game and the rest of the season and Alabama loses every game

Agree with the tenor of this, but the idea that those games mean 'nothing'. . . dubious. It's how good coaches reap and teach the lessons. . .

FTR, Penn is usually a good Ivy League team (along with Princeton)

Watch out for the Ivy League

Michigan has as many BAGMEN as Alabama does so it will be interesting who the kid goes with.

Did you know that Penn is Ira’s sister’s alma mater? In case you didn’t know, he’ll mention it 17 times on WTKA while he’s filling in for Sam.
