If our mascot is going to wear a no. 16 jersey it might as well be a lightning bolt. No mascot in a 16 jersey will be roaming anywhere. Roaming is for Spartans.

They should just adopt him as an unofficial, de facto mascot. Like the Ann Arbor Huron River Rats (little known fact, the River Rat was not their "official" mascot for a long time, might still not be). Or Dartmouth's Keggy the Keg.
