Additional Footage of Michigan Player Reactions Immediately Following Rose Bowl

Submitted by bdneely4 on January 3rd, 2024 at 10:11 PM

I am sorry for the long title but this is some footage that I had not seen before. I absolutely love watching the players reactions and it put a huge smile on my face seeing Harbaugh and Herbert do their handshake. The reactions start right around the 4:00 minute mark. Go Blue!

HERE is the link. I tried to embed it but the video kept saying unavailable and watch on YouTube

I looked through the photos from an earlier thread today and noticed Kris Jenkins bursting forth from the sidelines celebrating the game winning fourth down stop… and then it hit me… our best defensive lineman, who is probably one of the 3-4 best defenders on the team (and is projected to be drafted in the first 2 rounds) was not on the field for the most crucial play in the last 25 years. And he didn’t care that he wasn’t in. He was celebrating for his teammates because they all, as a team, just became Rose Bowl champions. It just speaks to the depth of this defense that they can play any 11 guys out of a core of at least 16 or 17 guys based on the situation at hand. They know their role and they execute the plan. Teamwork at its finest.

Thanks for posting this.

My wife thinks I'm absolutely fucking wacko for watching non-stop Rose Bowl highlights the last 2 days....

But out of nowhere earlier today she said:

"Who's got it better than us!!"....

and that is why I love her.

GO BLUE!!

I was wondering about some of the taunting of the Bama sideline in the immediate celebration. Was there some bad blood during the the buildup (Lawry's?) or warm-ups or in-game stuff I missed?

Apparently during pre-game warmups the Alabama O-line walked through Michigan's sideline as some kind of intimidation tactic. A ton of Michigan players posted about it in their Instagram stories after the game but I haven't heard much about it in the aftermath.

I also saw a video where Kool-Aid Mckinstry was like 10 yards away from our wide receivers as they did their warmup drills and he just stood there staring them down for a while.

ALSO also, I saw a few Michigan players share this video after the game, I guess they didn't like this either: https://twitter.com/vidztc/status/1741227543875793275?s=46&t=aulCDAoLdCzZYqFXYqFLHQ

I saw the video the Bama OL posted of themselves walking down our sideline. Looked pretty tame. No words were exchanged. No gestures.

I'd seen the "murder" clip but couldn't tell when or to what game it referred. (ah, now I see the graphic)

I'm an old guy now; I recall there were 1 or 2 stories about incidents at Lawry's back in the 70's or 80's.

None of this seems like much to me. I mean, it ain't David Boston and VHS tapes of it placed in players' VCRs.
