So I finally broke down and tried a golf course tailgate. I have to admit, it was an awesome, and awe inspiring pre-game. My 13 y/o son (now known as "Gameboy") got to play some PS3 NCAA 11, us adults shared Jello shots and other libations with the neighbors, and everyone had a great time.
Howeva, the post game was slightly traumatic. Does the course always look like one of New Jersey's uglier landfills? Does anyone stay to cook a little dinner, or does everyone wait in a half hour long line to hit the rowdy streets of AA for a 1 to 1-1/2 hour slog to the freeways? I'd been under the impression that there were post game events galore, that the camaraderie and goodwill among tailgaters would continue into the two hour sunset after our fine victory. Nuh-uh. Did I take a wrong turn, or was that par for the course (pun intended, obvs)?
