the funny thing about what happened is that it was a pretty good joke. if one of this blogs more trusted users would have done it we would be congratulating him for finding such a perfectly named article......i suppose they would have had the brains to name the thread a little better so people wouldnt have gotten so excited

for finding such a perfectly named article
Eh -- not so much; google search: "baxter commits [quotation marks included]" yields [selective listing]: Rick Baxter Commits to Fight for Government to Live Within its Means File Format: PDF/Adobe Acrobat - Quick View Mens Basketball: Upperman High School senior Dustin Baxter commits ... Golf artist Graeme Baxter commits to charitable donations in '09 ... Oh -- and this one (hit #10): I'm Asking for Negbangs | mgoblog (Interesting -- this google link attaches to the "Page not found" message under the thread's [presumptive] original URL. I've gone ahead and linked this to 7mile's Opus Posthumous under the new title.) Not trying to be pedantic. I just -- am.

C'mon, he googled "baxter commits" and then pasted the url of the corresponding result. It wasn't clever. If he happened to come across it in his work or studies and he felt like sharing with us, I could see that. Or if it was at least funny somehow, but it wasn't. It was just lame. And he's been annoying in every thread.

i suppose they would have had the brains [edit: the common courtesy] to name the thread a little better so people wouldnt have gotten so excited
As the FAQ says:
Threads with misleading titles designed to scare the crap out of readers before they click will either be deleted or edited so that their titles reflect their contents.
I suppose we may interpret "scare" broadly to include premature ejaculation, etc.

I'm sure we'll have a new friend later today who will give us recruiting updates (which I actually appreciate since I can't pay for them), then he'll organize all of our players and give us an updated outlook for 2010, and then he'll melt down and you can create more funny pictures.

If he could limit himself to giving us the kinds of updates that matter, and keep it to a single depth chart or projection, then there wouldn't be an issue. Somewhere along the lines he just decides that he needs to keep pushing the pedal. What I find incredible is the large number of screennames, including many that date back for a number of months. In fact, I swear that he sometimes has entire threads where he talks to himself. How does he have the foresight to make all those screen names? How does he remember them and their passwords? What possesses him to do this? And finally, he is a person or a computer script?

It's possible (and at this point, I'd say probable) that we're dealing with someone that actually has a mental instability. It's likely this is not the first BBS this person's come across and done this on; it may be something that he or she has been doing for years. edit: Tacopants beat me to it; I call shens because he has a distinct advantage due to his height and being made of dreams.

New guy posts his recruiting opinion then eats it with mindless post meant to be funny, equivilent to contracting venereal disease at an all male boarding school. Got it. Thanks guys!
