#5 UM vs #4 Minnesota on BTN

Submitted by allezbleu on December 8th, 2020 at 12:04 PM

Game 1: Tuesday, Dec. 8, 8:00 pm ET — Big Ten Network
Game 2: Wednesday, Dec. 9, 6:30 pm ET — Big Ten Network

Posting in case people don't know. BTN doesn't show many Michigan Hockey games unfortunately. This will be my first chance to actually watch them this season.

As someone who doesn't have cable, how can I watch this game? I have BTN plus, but they only show replays of the game later. I want to watch live, but can't go to a bar/friends. Anyone know where to find a live stream of the game?

so what's with the mid-week games?  is it because they don't have classes to attend so they can 'zoom' school from their hotel rooms?

I think they planned around the World Juniors, and wanted to get these games in before training camp started. Alas, US Hockey moved it up so Michigan and Minnesota are missing 8 players total anyway, which is really unfortunate for the fans.

Also, I assume that Wisconsin, OSU, and other schools that use their hockey rinks for basketball and other events had to schedule around the conflicts, which bumped other games forward or back into mid-week.

Thanks for the info. Will have to check it out tonight. Right now these two games are the last two on the schedule. Are they looking to add more games?

I think he means the hockey team.

They're doing the season in phases. They DO plan to play more games ...this first spate of games was just to get up and running. Not surprisingly they're playing it by ear. Usually they break at this point of the season anyway. Expect more games in the new year.

Question:
Many on here allege that UM cannot compete with OSU, AL, CLEM in football because your school's standards are too high to recruit the types of kids necessary to break through those ranks.  How is it then that you are able to recruit those kinds of kids in basketball?
