It's very early, but 247 has released their 2022 basketball rankings, obviously headlined by #1 player from Ypsi, Emoni Bates. The state of Michigan also has 3 other top 70 players as well

Also Jett Howard at #53, who will likely be a state of Michigan recruit next year.

Hopefully a University of Michigan commit by next year as well.

Phew...had to check if that was the class with LeBron Jr but looks like he's at least a year behind this one.

Will these rankings even matter?
Isn't the NBA removing the 1 and done rule by 2021?
Players like Bates are just going to jump into the pros.

Unclear. First, I thought I heard a while back that there may be a delay in when the NBA is going to allow high schoolers to jump straight to the NBA. Second, just because players can jump straight to the NBA, doesn't mean they will. Out of this list, I'd guess Emoni would be the only one to do so

Bates and his family have also been considering reclassifying to the '21 class. So even if the NBA does allow HS players to enter the draft in '22 Bates may still get a year of college in before that.
