But aside from the odd omission of the rest of our D-line, is anyone else surprised at how consistently Magnuson is highly rated? To have him only 40 spots below Cole and above the rest of our D-line seems insane to me.

I like that they printed the guidelines they were working under, and acknowledged the limitations. Through that lens, and by those definitions, this list seems reasonable (based on what I know - not a ton...). In related news: our defense is gonna kill people this year!

Magnuson above Glasgow, Taco, Hurst...eh idk.

I hope Magnuson is a top 200 player in all of college football, but I'm certain we have at least 4 DL that should be ranked ahead of him.

I wouldn't say likely, per se. He's probably 50/50 to win the Mackey with Howard from Bama (Butt is better but Bama is Bama). From there, TE's are kind of like interior OL in the draft, if one goes in the first round he is thought to be a mega-star and/or the market for them dictates that pick. Pats got Gronk in the 2nd round and he's going to be the GOAT when he retires. He definitely could go in the 1st round but it's not like he is the best QB, or RB, or CB he is at a position of lesser value by league standards.

(Now when my Pats come on the clock at 32 after letting Martellus Bennett go after 1 year...)

IMO, McCaffrey's an even bet with Watson and Fournette to win the Heisman.  I think he deserved it last year.  He put up monster numbers, and was great in Stanford's biggest games.

In terms of their criteria (talent counts most), I'm also surprised they chose 2 of our OL and only 1 DL player. That will probably change by season's end.

These lists are more fun now that we have such great representation!
