Just goes to show that the indecision about Harbaugh’s future from the AD is going to lead to the worst outcome for the program in the long run.

This is what makes me think that Warde might be working behind the scenes on

  1. A mutual parting of ways with Harbaugh
  2. A new coaching hire

If Warde was dead set on renewing Harbaugh’s contract, why on earth would he let the issue of his contract continue to linger and thereby hurt recruiting? Idk, just a guess since I obviously don’t know anyone on the inside, but it just seems odd. Even with COVID, it’s not going away any time soon and the school is going to HAVE to pay the coaching staff one way or the other. So why drag your feet if you’re already set on extending Harbaugh’s contact? What does that accomplish?

If they have a handshake agreement,  but nothing signed, I could see why they haven't formally announced anything. Rico Beard is throwing shit on the wall and claiming that Harbaugh is telling recruits he doesn't know if he will be back. Harbaugh has since refuted that report. How in the hell would Rico Beard know what Harbaugh is telling recruits? He will be back.

Rip off the band aid before the next coach gets caught with an even bigger roster issue. I think hitting the transfer portal will be key to next season. After OSU is canceled Harbaugh can take NFL offers and somewhat leave on his own terms. That gives our coach a good head start. Wishful thinking I know.

I’ve said this before. The narrative that Michigan needs to blow it up is CAUSING these difficulties in recruiting to a large extent. Kids generally don’t want to go to a school that’s about to lose it’s coach. As long as the prevalent narrative on social media and from national media is that Harbaugh is on his way out the door, recruiting is going to suffer a bit.

Recruiting does seem to be an unorganized mess.  However, it seems we had a decent recruiting year coming into the season.  My question is what is Harbaugh telling these guys and their parents about his future?  They must ask I would think.  That is why I think he has to have had some kind of extension on the table.

cool, please keep posting about every recruit for which we have been favorites that chooses someone else because of our coaching uncertainty. really excited to keep being reminded about this shit every day until signing day.

This is another reason to get rid of Harbaugh. I want a coach that can recruit the state of Michigan. I know Thompson is from Missouri. I don’t think Harbaugh is evaluating this kids properly. They also are not developing these kids. It’s time for a fresh start. I was a huge Harbaugh supporter. But I’m done with  him.

1.  I think JH has avoided the conversation with WM since season started.  Got a feeling everyone is sitting on their hands hoping this resolves itself. Is it really a stretch to think WM told JH - hey .... let’s wait till after season to discuss extension.  From JH perspective, nobody told him he was going somewhere.  So .... he thinks he is staying right here.

2. D-side of ball is house cleaning at end of season.  You can bank on this one. Would explain the lack of enthusiasm on that side of ball.

3. Recruiting will end in a mess.
