It should say co-champions.
Just my opinion.
/shrug
At least it some kind of hardware Harbaugh and Co. can showoff to recruits.
Those kids probably don't know any better anyways.
So your saying we’re convincing stupid kids to play for us...that explains why we can’t beat Ohio state
Welp, he didn’t use”were”, so give him 50% credit.

It should say co-champs, agreed. But beyond that, what's the problem? They were co-champs.
"But lost to OSU badly."
Yes, and OSU lost to Purdue badly.
"But OSU is won head to head."
Yes, and that's why they went to the B1G Championship game.
"But OSU was better."
Yes, and that's why they went to the B1G Championship game.
Michigan was good in 2018, they should be proud of going 8-1 in conference play and winning a share of the B1G East title.
No, no. There are only two emotions: pride when you beat your rival, and overwhelming shame in any other circumstance. Michigan men can tolerate nothing more.

This and that Bdubs Citrus bowl are Harbaugh's only trophies. Outstanding.
Pau Bunyan and The Little Brown Judge.
Little Brown Jug.
”Little Brown Judge” would be kind of a dodgy name for a trophy.
Antoine Joubert says “hi”
Lmao you really are pathetic
Yeah, except those are temporary and he's probably going to lose at least one of them this season.
Give us a place to stand.
Wait a second. So the B1G gives us a trophy that says champions. Michigan displays the trophy, that says champions, with a sign that says champions. What's the problem?
Some people must go out and search for reasons to get butt hurt. What a horrible existence that is.
Seems somewhat beneath Michigan to display that given the fact the other Co-Champ embarrased you. Now, if there was a three-way tie because of a round robbin, I'd be totally for it.
It's like Duke accepting an NIT bid after getting left out of the big dance. They just wouldn't do it.
Duke has gone to the NIT multiple times
We're also over a year removed from that season. Kids genuinely won't care that much in a year, because they'll have been 13 or 14 when that game happened. Alabama unabashedly claims like 12 more national titles than the AP gives them credit for because fuck it, it's college football and at the end of the day, the best teams will take every single liberty they can to increase their brand just a little bit more.
What's wrong with 250 national champions in 100 years?
It doesn't matter.
That is more pathetic than losing the game
[waves tiny flag]
I don't love it but are they supposed to hide the trophy?
Harbaugh gave out co-champs shirts with the scores from the three losses on them. I think he gets it.
I agree it's not like they decided to declare themselves division champions, the conference did. Ten years from now it will look like a perfectly respectable trophy if the school can follow it up with a few outright championships... If not then yes it does look a little sad.
You’re not wrong, but Michigan looks like it’s not even close to winning anything in-conference in the next 10 years. Day is primed to put a stranglehold on this rivalry as Tressel and Meyer did before him. Meyer is gone but somehow Day is putting together what may be OSU’s best class ever. From what I hear, all he’s got to do is get the guys he's expected to get for that to happen.
Harbaugh recruits well, but he can’t recruit the way OSU does. Couple that with the massive psychological advantage OSU has every time it takes the field against Michigan, I don’t see Michigan winning the Big Ten in the next 10 years.
Go ahead and neg away. If I’m wrong, I’ll be the first to come back here, admit it and eat crow. But I’d say there. Is a very, very good chance Michigan finishes no better than second in the East for the foreseeable future.
At least this is less embarrassing than Harbaugh taking commitments from two kids that every other power 5 school didn't even know existed this week. Ryan Day might put up 80 in a few years with talent he's getting on offense and by the looks of our defensive recruiting. Can't wait until this dude goes back to the NFL and we can hire a coach who actually gives a damn about recruiting.
...and after they take the field in 2-3 years you’ll be kissing their asses and begging them for an autograph.
You're worse at this than Jim is at beating OSU.
Am I wrong? Or are you going to yell at them in the parking lot after the game, “Take off that jersey, you don’t deserve it! You were a 3-star!”
Yes, you're wrong. Now stop projecting you boyish fantasies on everyone who speaks the truth and shut the fuck up.
So just to be clear, you are going to yell at the 3 stars after the games in the parking lot?
A quick look at his posting history leaves the troll door open. If actually a Michigan fan he is one miserable human being.
You’re so bad at this. Go back to Bolivia.
You are trying too hard here man.
We have lots of Big Ten titles that were shared. Sometimes we lost to the other team(s) involved. We did not put an asterisk or “co-champions” on the trophy. The point of a trophy is to brag about what you did, not downplay it.
And yet you want us to hang Final Four banners that are nothing more than participation trophies.
Are you actually suggesting winning an NCAA Tournament Regional CHAMPIONSHIP is the same as a being a co-division champion in your conference and losing the tiebreaker badly?
“Regional championship” ? Lol no
Lol yes
Then hang a regional championship banner. I prefer season-based championships to tournament championships generally speaking because the former consists of a larger body of work. But comparing basketball to football is like comparing, oh I don’t know, apples and oranges.
A regional championship for a top 4 seed means you won 2 very difficult games, maybe, if the seeds hold. Meh. I wonder how much Duke, Kansas, UNC, Kentucky or UCLA care about regionals.
Izzo’entire mystique is based on winning regional championships. It’s not the one national title, but all the final fours is why morons say January, February, Izzo
I love when people call Izzo mr March. The championship is in April ! Lol. Do they not see the irony ?
Honestly if the Big Ten didn’t put “co-champions” on the trophy why should we?
Anyone who knows Michigan football and has been a part of its storied history knows that this trophy means NOTHING! It’s an embarrassment... Have we sunk that far!
Bo must be rolling over in his grave...
April Fool's Day was two days ago.
Tacky, lame, and perfectly emblematic of the Harbaugh era.
Man. I get all of the "perspective" posts in this thread and you're not wrong, but...this is mockworthy.
It’s the truth, they won it. Other teams claim these and you all wring your hands about when Michigan will get one. Now they do and you’re annoyed...pretty dumb on y’all
Don’t basketball team hang banners for co-titles all the time ? A few weeks ago MSU, Iowa, and Wisconsin all celebrated “big ten titles” .....who cares.
Every time someone walks by that trophy, they'll be reminded that we lost the game that mattered most. Take it out and replace it with a team picture of the boys in South Africa or Italy.
