and I've just read various places that UNC has made a strong push. I still think UM is in the lead but nowhere near a lock. And as for Mathis, to answer the other comment, it's a battle between Michigan and Miami. And he nearly committed to Miami earlier this year. UM has made up significant ground but there's definitely a ways to go in that fight.

Anyone care to guess what kind of star ratings most of these guys will get? Any thoughts on Ricardo Miller and Jeremy Jackson while we're at it?

Miller will probably be a high 4 star, 40-50 range nationally. Jackson'll be a 4 star, top 250 would be my guess. Gardner or Gholston might get the full 5 stars. The UM Rivals guys have been touting M-Rob as a super 5 star for a while, and I believed it for a while...but I'm starting to lean toward him being more of a top 100 4 star type. Henderson and Crisp will probably be 5 stars; Henderson is getting all the "next Orlando Pace" hype.

From talking to a friend of mine who has Scout premium, you shouldn't count Marvin Robinson as any sort of guarantee and we shouldn't expect any kind of verbal commitment from him anytime soon. He'll be recruited heavily by USC, UNC & Florida and is by no means a lock for us. It sounds like it will be a dogfight for him right up until the end.

Yes. That is EXACTLY what I said. We shouldn't even talk about 2010 recruiting because nobody will want to play here, anyway. In fact, the University of Michigan is, at this very moment, seriously considering ridding itself of the football program all together because of this. More details to follow...
