To be honest, I don't really get professional wrestling.  Yes they have skills, but it is choreographed and the drama is scripted.  Nothing more than a glorified soap opera with athletic feats.

juiced out of his mind.

with us he wrestled at 177, IIRC;  and robbie at 191, then off to superheavy.

those were heady days....

only if 'natty' means a dynabol and HGH cocktail.   whew.  can't imagine the residual damage that does to the body.   they had a couple of decades of celebrity, but like the verse goes, what does it gain a man to get the whole world but lose his soul (and body)?

That’s insane.

Of course, doping is a problem in all sports, but the issue is exacerbated in pro wrestling, where looking ripped matters more than physical ability, and your “competitors” don’t care if you’re juicing because there’s no competitive advantage.

Unfortunately, it’s not just a joke. A fair number of guys have died of causes at least partly attributable to doping, with head injuries playing their part as well.

For sure, Scott is a juice monkey of the heighest order, but you can't compare NCAA wrestling weight versus a man's actual weight. A 171 pound wrestler would cut water from a super fit 195'ish to get to down weight and then would start rehydrating (maybe with an IV) back up to 195. Out of season, that 171 pound wrestler would be over 200 without being the least bit out of shape.

And don't forget, that's an 18-22 year old young man. Not a 30 year old man who has worked out seriously for an additional 8 years.

JPC, i'm in agreement with your general assessment, but you should've seen robbie blow up after his sophomore year.  we used to tease him about what it did to certain other parts of his body.   it wasn't illegal or even tested for back then.  he's the one that taught scottie about it, though i don't think scottie juiced at all in college, or at least i never saw any evidence of that.  scottie was my age and i was closer to him.  fun guys to bounce with, that's for sure.

Nominate Big Poppa Pump for honorary captain of UM football. Doesn't look like he spent much time on the golf course back then.

Yeah - Like this guy^^^^ said.

If only we could do that kind of cool stuff today, but instead, we have won twice since 2003, so we have no room to talk shit because all that matters is scoreboard.

So fucking savage, I love it.

Was the interaction with the fan staged? I'm guessing he was a plant but Steiner has a history of unpredictability and going after fans in the crowd.

That video always makes me laugh.

I used to work out at Main Event fitness in North Atlanta at the same time as Scott.  Helluva nice guy.  His brother Rob (Rick) is on the school board of Cherokee County schools.
