I like that the last time a team only managed 6 yards in the first half(2014 Wake Forest vs. BC), was also against a Don Brown coached defense.

crazy they had 2 completions, 5 yards passing, 0-17 3rd down conversions, 40 yards rushing, no first down until middle 4th quarter when 3rd stringers playing. according to a NJ article, Harbauh told Ash didn't intend to run up score. http://www.nj.com/rutgersfootball/index.ssf/2016/10/chris_ash_already_f… which is true. put in 2nd and 3rd stringers in 2nd half, only passed 16 times all game Rutgers just was flat out manned

We did narrowly lose out in one head-to-head comparison.

TOTAL YARDS:

Michigan Offense: 600

Rutgers Punting: 603

dang!  In our defense, we probably could have squeezed out a few more yards, but the stupid end zone kept getting in the way.

Chris Ash is the worst Head Coach that I have ever seen, in terms of playing Michigan.  In my lifetime...Rutgers was the worst prepared team ever to play vs. Michigan.

Their offense looked like it rolled out of bed and showed up for the game, high and without even practicing the plays.

The defense was stoned as well, constantly out of position and missing tackles.

That was 2 weeks in a row for them to play like that.  They are not that talented...but not that not talented to at least look organized and put up a fight.

In light of last night's game, after hours of reflection, I've decided to formally submit my application with Mr. Delaney for entrance into the Big Ten as the first individual football team. I look forward to doing my part to maintain the proud traditions of Big Ten football as manifested by the recent newest members of this fine division.

I look forward to seeing my fellow members of the Big Ten, as I face them across the gridiron, beer in hand.

In one half of play, Wilton was 6 of 13 for 100 yards and 1 TD. Yes a couple of those 13 were drops, but at least a few more were poorly thrown. Against the Rutgers so-called D, Wilton could have, should have been a lot more precise.

Some concerns going forward, especially with trips to East Lansing and Iowa City let alone Columbus, and a feisty IU team coming into AA.

He's only won his first 6 starts. I think I'd worry more about the O-line and its injuries at this point for the balance of the season. What has O'Korn or Morris shown you this season to date that makes you think they are better than Speight?

Not as bad as earlier in the day in the Carolinas, but still not good passing weather.

Some stats from FBS quarterbacks playing in Matthew remnants on Saturday:

  • Evans, Virginia Tech, 7-17 for 75 yds
  • Trubisky, North Carolina, 13-33 for 58 yds
  • Kizer, Notre Dame, 9-26 for 54 yds
  • Finley, N.C. State, 5-12 for 27 yds
  • Jones, Duke, 7-15 for 41 yds

The only quarterback I saw do any damage in the rain was Ward. It's fair to have concerns going forward but I don't know that I'd put much stock in what happened yesterday.
