#1 2025 High School QB Bryce Underwood seen working out in UM apparel.
With Underwood making an oral commitment in January of 2024, I look for any signs of him coming to AA! Jeremiah Beasley will be in his ear as well. It’s time we stacked elite talent at QB. #HAIL〽️ https://twitter.com/UMFanAugdahl/status/1674857332390461440?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1674857332390461440%7Ctwgr%5E8f2d39f533660b6012cca04fa2bfd8fe760e85e2%7Ctwcon%5Es1_c10&ref_url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.diehardsport.com%2Fcollege-football%2Fnations-top-recruit-dons-michigan-gear-working-nfler%2F
I want him at Michigan or not in the B10.
"All or nothing at all
Half a love, never appealed to me
If your heart, never could yield to me
Then I'd rather have nothing at all
"All or nothing at all
If it's love, there ain't no in between
Why begin then cry for something that might have been?
No, I'd rather, rather have nothing at all"
I'll admit I know absolutely nothing about Frank Sinatra and that absolutely needs to change.
Wait until he leads you down the Dean Martin and Sammy Davis Jr. Lane. I suggest some old rat pack recordings on headphones. Youll feel like you are part of the audience.
A little bit of comedy with Joey Bishop? I’m completely uncertain what Peter Lawford added.
Lawford added the Kennedy connection.
Brother-in-Lawford
My friend had Frank Sinatra's dog.
I had a friend whose grandpa owned a dog kennel facility. When Sinatra died his dog was in his grandpa's facility and Sinatra's family asked him to find a home for the dog.
I bet that crazy, coo-coo pooch could really swing.
This reminds me that I need to restock my bobby sock drawer.
My dad taught Sammy Davis Jr to play drums. He was friends with Sammy Sr.
My Uncle thought he was St. Jerome.
I was thinking that since OSU already has their 2025 QB committed, there’s not another Big Ten school I would be concerned about and that’s when I realized that USC will be in the conference by then. Lincoln Riley has an okay resume with QB’s, so they would definitely be a threat.
Lincoln Riley has an okay resume with QB’s
Geez, the guy coaches multiple Heisman winners and 1st round picks and he has an “okay resume?”
I’m of the mind there was a touch of tongue in cheek there
Now this is what Twitter was made for
Underwood to Michigan has been gaining momentum. Long way to go but gotta love where we stand at this point. Thanks for the update, even tho small. Go Blue!
If he's not worried about immediate playing time, Michigan has as good a shot as anybody.
My hot take is if he commits to Michigan, Jadyn Davis never sees the field. Davis doesn’t have the pro measurables or intangibles to start as a freshmen. We get a grad transfer to take over the job in 2024. Then underwood beats out Davis in 2025 by pure raw talent. He wouldn’t be worried about immediate playing time at Michigan.
Agreed. JJ will be here 4 years more than likely imo and they will have the chance to compete against each other in 2025.
What makes you think JJ will come back for a 4th year?
Also; say that UM wins it all this year. It would presume he made a name for himself at that point. He would have no other reason staying here. It looks like the following year will be a rebuilding year as well. I’d be surprised if he stays another year.
He said he wants to be the best QB who ever played here… He theoretically can’t do that in one more year.
There’s been a precedent set by Hutch, Corum, and others; especially, if they don’t win a Natty I could easily see JJ coming back one more year. And The Don™ might even join him.
Pretty sure Donovan has basically said he’s done after this year.
I don't think you know much about Jadyn Davis. He's lacking in pro measurables, but his intangibles are fantastic according to scouts and Devin Gardner. He's a 10 out of 10 above the shoulders.
By the way, measurables have never stopped someone from being the starting early at QB. Cade McNamara would like a word with you.
It’s kind of ironic coming from the fanbase of the greatest QB to play the game.
Few, if any, top tier programs have a clear path to starting for a 1st year QB. Most take a 4+ star QB every year.
That’s 16% of FBS programs landing a 4*+ QB (slightly lower if a couple snag 2). I think most would consider UofM a top 16% program and so it’s reasonable to expect they should land one most years.
Top notch recruits: UM has the freshest gear!
If he does not end up at Michigan, please someone make sure he never sets foot in Columbus,
If we can’t have Ohio’s top talent, they damn well can’t have our’s.
OSU already has their 2025 QB in some kid named St Clair from Ohio who blew up this summer. I think Underwood will definitely end up Blue with the main competition maybe being Alabama
Alabama has a five star QB committed to that class already.
We might not have any competition for him then. He's all Blue
LSU is the other competition. He's going to be the number 1 QB in the country and may be the best qb prospect ever out of the state.
In order to land this kid Michigan has to throw the ball more in season and offer a competitive NIL bag. I know in general Harbaugh is against such things but Underwood needs to be the exception to the rule.
How does the exception work? You tell everyone in the current locker room they weren't worth the competitive bag, and future recruits they aren't worth the bag, only certain people are worth it?
I’m pretty sure we were saying the exact same thing about Dante Moore about a year ago.
There is always competition, pal.
Georgia has the #1 QB in Raiola and another top QB committed in the 2024 class. I am surprised another QB would stay committed when Raiola announced his commitment to the Urban Meyer wannabes.
I don’t see any QB committed to Alabama in the 2025 class. From what I’ve read, it’s a three team battle with us, Alabama, and LSU. LSU had a 2025 QB committed, but he reclassified to 2024. I’m sure other schools will come after him, but if it stays between these three, our QB room is probably less intimidating than the others.
If those two schools are our competition, we better hope Underwood's main requirement is not a big NIL bag. Also, as someone else said, we better demonstrate we're able and willing to air the ball out more. Those are my biggest worries in trying to sign him.
Also water is wet
Not when it's frozen.
Please come play for the Maize and Blue!!
He will....why wouldn't he? Everything he wants and needs is in Ann Arbor
It’s happening!
He is probably like, “This is the only clean thing I had.”
But it was at the big house right?
Quell the overreaction riot. Tamp down the expectations. Bring this Bryce boil back to a simmer. However you say it, I won’t stop believing.
He has said one of his criteria is early playing time, but I feel like all of his top schools had a '24 QB in the Elite 11 Finals, so really the only school that can offer him early PT is the one with no hope at QB.....lil brother.
I really hope Jadyn Davis lives up to the hype but I'm a little worried TBH. I hope we can snag a top QB like underwood just in case. I never want to be in the situation where we have no QB depth again
Just curious. Why are you worried about Jadyn Davis?
