College GameDay (UM/MSU 10/30/21) Sign Ideas Diary
Friends, this is my first post here since the "There are..." finale. I haven't had time for the usual in-season rambling as its been a whirlwind of a semester so far, between school, MMB, Children of Yost...everything. If I have time I'll give a more detailed update as requested but for now, just know that things are going great.
Well, we've got one of the biggest games in Backyard Brawl history on Saturday, it's Halloweekend, and THREE pregame shows will be in EL (the last one who took FOREVER to announce being the topic of this thread). The plan is to #RaidTheWoodshed (wearing maize of course), and I know there will be plenty of MGoBloggers among us. Let's invade College GameDay while we're at it (the MMB will be practicing close by if that's any incentive!), and bring some hilarious signs with us.
Whether you're going or not, it's time to start thinking of ideas. As always, there is one rule to these threads and that is:
Make sure to clarify whether you are going, and if you will be using that sign, so we don't steal or duplicate signs that will already be there/DO steal good ideas from those who won't.

I really don't get how MSU could justify idolizing ancient Sparta in this day and age, given that the Spartans were the most brutal and hyper-militaristic society in Greece, practiced pederasty and infanticide as general rule, were constantly at war with their neighbors, and relied on mass enslavement of the population of surrounding territories (the Helots) to have any kind of a functioning economy. Sounds like a bunch of great role models for a public university!

I don’t know what the sign says but the punchline is that a bunch of non revenue MSU sports teams should be hoping for a Michigan win on Saturday, that way LSU doesn’t go after Tucker and State won’t have to cut even more sports to fund his salary.
Too complicated for a sign, but the point holds.
