The basketball team has defintely helped me not dwell on the football team like I normally would.

And I have no idea how to handle Michigan being good at basketball. During the ugly stretches I keep waiting for the other shoe to drop... and then we dominate. I don't get it.

I was an undergraduate during the Fisher / Ellerbe Handoff, if you will, and then for the first few years of Ellerbe's tenure, but at least in the first half of my undergraduate days, it was nice to be able to go from good football to good basketball like that. It does make for a nice, fairly seamless transition as the weather turns. It has helped indeed, as others have mentioned.

Ahhhhh, back to the days of the season lasting 9 months, interrupted only by summertime.
Like when we won the Rose Bowl in football and then the National Championship in basketball. It was a beautiful thing.

...I was a senior in '89. I didn't think we had a chance in the tourney when we lost our head coach 2 days prior to the first round. Best personal sports memory ever (except for being at the '98 Rose Bowl)

moments as well, I was sitting about 20 feet from where Sir Charles intercepted that pass in the 2nd QT in the '98 Rose Bowl
