Man, Denard was beautiful.  With apologies to Norman Maclean:

”At that moment, I knew, surely and clearly, that I was witnessing perfection.  Denard kneeled before us–not in the end zone of Michigan Stadium –but suspended above the earth, free from all its laws, like a work of art. And I knew just as surely and just as clearly that life is not a work of art and that the moment could not last.”

This interview is the best recruiting pitch we can make right now. The coach doesn’t matter. You bond with your brothers and do your best for your teammates.
I can’t help but think about senior leadership. That team had it. This 2020 team is awfully short on seniors to begin with. Which ones are the leaders?

I was a RR supporter until the bitter end (I am a glutton for punishment) and thought the way Brandon treated him was disgraceful. The 2011 sets up a great “what if”. What if Brandon did not fire RR and what if RR hired Mattison to run the defense. Yo7 would have to assume similar results in 2011, in which case RR likely gets extended. Wonder how long he would have lasted.
