Jimmy Rolder Has Committed to Michigan Comment Count

At least we got a linebacker commit tonight. That’s good. We needed a linebacker, and this one is really climbing the rankings late, and especially considering they didn’t get a lot of the linebackers they were targeting this cycle until just their kind happened to pop from the obscurity of COVID football in Chicago. In fact he was the top LB left on their board. And lots of boards.

So that’s good. Good things are good. I think I’ll save the writeup for after football season though. Have a good night.

I can't believe I kicked over my trash can. Of all the dumb things...

Coincidently, watched  this kid in IHSA playoffs last week. He looked huge, fast and smart, completely dominated the game from the MLB position and played a little fullback too.

While it's always hard to evaluate a high school stud in terms of his ability to play at the next level, his first step and read/reactions were insanely good. I spoke to a guy in the stands who played D1 football who confirmed what I thought I saw: Rolder is absolutely going to play in college and make an impact. You just can't teach his instincts and quickness. Next day at church someone told me he was going to O$U and I was pretty bummed, so this is great news!

Go Blue young man, and welcome!

I like this. Watching his tape reminds me a lot of (hate to say it) James Laurinaitis. Speed to the sidelines and nose for the football. His whole playing style.
