2022 MGoPhotos of the Game (Week 3): UConn
You know the old saying - if you have seven quarterbacks, you have none. But then again, who needs quarterbacks when you have a running back scoring five touchdowns in one game, a feat that hasn't happened since...
A point I made on Twitter last week was that with a weak nonconference schedule you get a lot of guys who wouldn't normally play much getting the chance to fulfill a dream of playing for Michigan. Some will contribute later down the road but some won't and these three weeks will be memories they cherish forever.
Now from a photography perspective, these last three weeks have been busy because every time we see a guy and say "I don't know who that is??" it means we don't have photos of them, and therefore, must take many photos of them. While our Flickr page has ~250 images of Blake Corum (and, well, this week added quite a few more...), this was the first time we've actually photographed Davis Warren in action (besides the Spring Game).
Shout out to Bryan Fuller for covering the game this week as this was a week off for me. We will both be back next week! Also shout out to Bryan for climbing the entire dang stadium to get this:

BUT
If you'd like to support us, one of the simplest things you can do is follow us on social media (links just below) where we post way more photos than here. In the offseason I also do a LOT of wildlife/national park photography. While we're not allowed to sell any of our sports photos per our credential agreement (sorry to anyone who reached out asking about one), I sell prints from my adventures which I sell on FineArtAmerica. You can buy prints (or just look at some pretty pictures) here: Patrick Barron Art Collections

2022 Michigan Football vs UCONN (Bryan Fuller)
[More pictures after THE JUMP]
Last year Ronnie made a ridiculous catch against Western Michigan that didn't count. Yesterday he did this. There needs to be a "but it was cool" aspect to reviewing catches. Stop taking cool things from Ronnie Bell.
Michigan Stadium cheered hard for Cade when he went under center. Well done, Michigan fans.
Finally.

My favorites from this set:
- Luke Schoonmaker (#86 TE) with the ball in the open field
- Makari Paige (#7 DB), Junior Colson (#25 LB), and Jaylen Harrell (#32 DE) all in a row
- Alex Orji (#10 QB) turning the corner
Of those three, my eye keeps going back to Paige, Colson, and Harrell. It's not an "action shot," but those three look like a coiled spring ready to unwind.

So much fun! Thank you

I now fully expect Ronnie Bell to make a catch of crazy proportions every game. I thought the catch against Western last year was nuts; this one blew it out of the water.

I like how he posed, trying to sell it.
"Yeah, that's right. I caught that. You saw that, right? Right?"
....
"Aw, c'mon, man, it only hit the ground a little."
